Photography is all about the way in which we see things. One way to force your eye to see differently is to narrow your focus and concentrate on capturing one particular thing, like a certain shape or color. Try spending a week photographing curves. At first they will be hard to spot but then by the end of the week you’ll be seeing curves in everything. And you’ll end up with some interesting images that you may never have captured if you hadn’t forced yourself to see differently. Scott, Lisa and I focused on the color blue for Pic of the Week.

This blue on blue image is one of my all-time favorite photographs. I took it near Expedition Everest in Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
