Since we're fans of the Jungle Cruise, we thought we'd try this new restaurant. It was a nice experience, as we appreciate the better food choices offered here. We enjoyed the same whitty, corny humor offered here by the staff as offered on the ride. The rooms are nicely decorated to fit with the adventure motif. I had the "tastes like chicken" and it was good though I would've appreciated a little more spice or flavoring. My husband had the lamb chops and really enjoyed them. We would recommend this dining option within MK but just keep in mind, it is a sit-down experience and does take time away from the park ride/show features. If you're okay with that, then I definitely recommend giving this a try.

Pros:

Location, Decor and Entertaining Staff

Cons:

Sit Down = Time Away from Rides

Review of Jiko - The Cooking Place - Jambo House

We dine at Jiko on each Disney trip we make and are never disappointed. The service and food and wine choices are excellent! I tried the BLT flatbread as an appetizer and it was pleasant, though a little messy. For dinner, I enjoyed the Wagyu strip loin and loved every bite. My husband had the seafood stew and devoured it! I thought he may lick the bowl clean!!! Both my husband and i also enjoyed the wine flights - all of them were delicious! This is a wonderful fine dining experience.

Pros:

Excellent Dining Experience

Cons:

Pricey

I can't stand the hamburger/ ice-cream typical park fare all the time, I feel sick, I need roughage. This place has an excellent veggie stack that is delicious & unique & I eat it about every time I go to Animal Kingdom.

Pros:

Delicious, unique, quality, veggie heavy options, healthier, lots of seating

Cons:

Que very awkward

Huge portions of Mexican fare (veggie friendly) with large toppings bar- cheese, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa... If you hook it up right, 2-3 people could spit a burrito. Or eat half there & save other half for later. Who needs an expensive time consuming table service? So much tastier than Mickey's typical park fare.

Pros:

Lots of higher quality tasty healthy food

Dude. Their Nutella Waffle with fruit is the best breakfast, lunch, snack, dessert type item on campus. Like a huge hot Waffle House style waffle topped with a generous amount of Nutella, then folded in half & stuffed to exploding with banana slices, strawberries, & blueberries. Like amazeballs. You could split it, but naw, get your own.

Pros:

Healthy-ish tasty & huge Nutella Waffle with fruit

Not that good hamburgers. I mean, if you are gonna eat something tasty that is bad for you, don't go here, there are much much better tasting items to be had. They do have a toppings bar, so in a pinch, if say Pecos Bill's is closed, you could make a mean LT sandwich like I have done before. It is all metal & glass & the sound echos & it's a huge place, so that is a lot of sound echoing. The robot that sings & does bad comedy, I think his name is Sonny, is a tad annoying, but I have to walk through & listen to a minute or two of him every time, because it's required, lol.

Pros:

Something to eat when you are desperate, air-conditioning

Cons:

Typical subpar park fare, loud, annoying robot

This has become a must do treat stop on all of our Disney trips. This trip we had a blueberry lemonade cake and a chocolate cake, and they were both delightful.
The deserts are on the pricey side, but are so creative and look as good as they taste, that we keep coming back.

Pros:

Wonderful!

Cons:

Price

We ate here last Friday night, and they had a line out the door to order. They fortunately have added quite a bit of outdoor seating, so there were more places to sit.
We ordered the barbecue burger and the diablo burger and enjoyed both. The BBQ burger was all beef and was somewhat greasy, and the Diablo burger was part chorizo so the meat was more dense. Both had good flavors.
Their fries are amazing!

Pros:

good burgers, great fries!

Cons:

Seating
