Review of Cape May Cafe Clam Bake Dinner

We always love Cape May Cafe and will continue to dine here each trip. The crab legs are to die for and are available Sunday and Wednesday nights. They are high quality and contain plenty of meat. The kids selection was good, especially for my toddler who loves seafood. I especially recommend the carving option that they have so you can enjoy "surf and turf" options. The service is always fantastic and I loved hearing that the waitress was there 24 years. That is an impressive length of stay for someone who loves their job. It is a convenient location if you are staying at an Epcot resort or from HS/Epcot parks.

Crab Legs, Amazing Service & Selection

We were pleased with our meal this past February. The portions were large and everything was fresh. I loved the toppings bar as well. My only wish was that they would open up more then one section at a time so that the lines were not so long. My toddler enjoyed the entertainment while we had to wait though.

Pros:

Entertaining, Lots of Seating

Cons:

Long Lines

Review of Casey's Corner

We were disappointed this trip in Casey's, which has been a standard stop each trip. The service was very slow for a hot dog / french fry combo. When I received my meal, the tray handed to me stained my shirt due to leftover chili from the previous person (I didn't have chili). I was disappointed to say that once I could make my way to the condiments, everything was out as well. It made for a disappointing trip to Casey's this year.

Pros:

Portion Size

Condiment counter, cleanliness

We arrived 30 minutes early for our lunch reservation and since it wasn't busy, we were seated immediately. The restaurant is lovely and the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable on the menu. We started with the hushpuppies and shared the fried chicken dinner. Everything was delicious and plenty of food for 2 people.

Pros:

Food, service

Review of Polynesian Deluxe Studios (Disney Vacation Club)

We are not Vacation Club members, but I found a good rate for the Deluxe Studio on Disney’s website and since we’ve never stayed at the Poly, I booked the room. We arrived in the morning and since our room was not ready, they claimed they would text us when the room was ready. I never heard from them, I finally called Disney’s customer service around 3:30 and discovered our room had been ready for quite some time. The deluxe studio is large and the split bathrooms are a big plus, the room was kept clean but housekeeping didn’t usually come until after 4 each day. We were very close to the TTC and found it easier to catch the monorail from that location instead of walking back to the Ceremonial House. There isn’t much in the way of sound proofing so we often heard our neighbors on each side and in the hall way. The pull down bed was nice, but there wasn’t much storage in the room. All Cast Members we encountered were very friendly and we had zero problems with transportation. However, for the price, there are nicer places to stay at WDW.

Location

Review of Star Wars Guided Tour - Disney's Hollywood Studios

My husband, two sons (16, 11) and I went on the Star Wars Guided Tour. My youngest son is a huge SW fan! The tour started with getting our ID badges which had our names in a SW language and identified us as being from Hoth. We also chose our dinner orders. Then we saw a brief film which was a 10 minute run through of SW 1-7 films. It was a fun movie. We went by a special entrance to Star Tours, which was a lot of fun and made us feel like VIPs. The tour guide introduced us to her fiancé who was running the ride. They met working on Star Tours which was cute! We did not get to see the stage show because it was rained out, so they took us on a VIP trip to Toy Story Midway Mania. The ride was fun but had nothing to do with Star Wars. We also did the Jedi Training Academy, and younger kids (4-12) could participate. While those kids trained the rest of us went on the Great Movie Ride. This ride is kind of boring and had nothing to do with SW except for some hidden droids the guide pointed out in the Indiana Jones scene. It was pouring rain by this point, so we ate a snack sitting on the floor of a room in the Launch Bay. Then we went to dinner at Backlot Express. The food was not great and there were very few healthy options. At this point it had stopped raining so my family left the tour to see the 5:30 stage show and to do souvenir shopping. We rejoined the tour in the launch bay, where we saw a brief film about making Rogue One, met Chewbacca and Kylo Ren, got "harrassed" by stormtroopers and ended up at the dessert party. The desserts were fun, there were free cocktails, and props from the films. Then we had a great view of the fireworks but it started absolutely pouring again. It was one of the best fireworks shows we have ever seen! Overall, the guides were great and the VIP access was fun, but it didn't seem like there was enough to do for a seven hour tour. Make sure you have other souvenir shopping time, because there isn't any built in to the tour. I think if we go again I would probably do the dessert party and Fast Pass Star Tours rather than do this tour again.

Pros:

Guides, VIP access to rides

Cons:

Too much non-Star Wars activity, too long, rain was a huge bummer

Review of Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza

We decided to try Blaze Pizza on a Saturday night and there was a long line outside the building, but it moved quickly and the staff was very efficient in filling the orders. We shared a large salad and a pizza and it was plenty for 2 people. The salad was fresh and we didn’t have to wait long on the pizza, the toppings and sauce were a little sparse, but it was still a good pie. It is a good value for the price.

Pros:

Food, line moves quickly

Cons:

Light on the toppings

Review of Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

I have no complaint with the quality of the food or the level of service. Both are excellent. With that said this restaurant has some flaws. Checking in can be a nightmare. On this visit it took approximately 20 minutes just to get to the stand. One seeded the level of service definitely picked up. The food choices are OK and most people will be able to find something on the menu that satisfies them. But I have noticed is that you don't get what you used to get in this restaurant.for example you used to get bread before the meal. Now if you want bread you'll pay extra for it. The chicken parm does not come with pasta (only small potatoes) and they will not substitute. Finally and most importantly this restaurant has become one of the loudest on property. If you're looking for a quiet meal this is not the place. There are other options for Italian food on property and I would recommend those over this.

Pros:

Quality of food

Cons:

Loud, value

Review of 50's Prime Time Cafe Lunch/Dinner

We ate here on our trip 1/30-2/10. We checked in but had a bit of a wait. Our server was fun. He punished a mom and made her sit in a corner facing the wall. We paid out of pocket because it is a less expensive restaurant then others. I got the sampler. It has meatloaf, pot roast and fried chicken. I always order it. The fried chicken wasn't as good as in the past but the other was about the same as the past. My son had the pbj shake which he loved, and the chicken pot pie. He enjoys this and gets it each time. My husband has his favorites too and got the pot roast. Good as always. We tried the onion rings this trip and they were very good. We soul definitely get them again. We probably had three each. What I used to live that I wouldn't do again is dads brownie sundae. It used to be huge on a plate and now its smaller in a glass. Still large enough to share but in the glass its harder to get to the brownie and share verses on a plate. Chocolate pb cake is huge and my son loves it. We'll be back next trip and i was very happy with the onion rings $9 I believe.

We used the dp for qs for lunch on our trip 1/30-2/10. We went in around 1130. We order two meat lovers pizza and 1 pepperoni pizza. They came with ceased salads. My sons had more dressing and croutons than mine so quality was inconsistent but the pizza was surprisingly good. Not a must have by any means but a decent place with lots of indoor and outdoor seating. If nothing new pops up for qs I would try again next trip. I like that its not a burger menu.

Pros:

lots if seating
