Review of Polynesian Deluxe Studios (Disney Vacation Club)

My wife and I have always wanted to stay at the Polynesian. It wasn't what we had expected our stay wasn't horrible but it wasn't what we expected. We had lake view and could see the castle and fireworks every night and that was one of the things my wife and I enjoyed. We like the location because a short monorail trip to the MK and a short monorail ride to Epcot. We had some friends that came with us and the family that stayed next to them were so loud it was almost as if they were in the room with them. Well she called the front desk and they were able to move them to another room which I thought was nice. Now our friends understand that this is a place for kids and they are very understanding and patient but after a couple of days with no sleep I understand their frustration. Well with that being said we would stay there again and maybe it will be different next time.

Location

Review of Territory Lounge

My wife and I enjoy eating at the Territory Lounge. The food and service are both very good. Also you can order from the Artist Point menu if you want. The mushroom soup is excellent and so is the bread they offer. Along with a drink of Scotch everything was excellent. I would highly recommend this place if you are staying at the Wilderness Lodge.

Pros:

Great Food

I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Four of us dines and each had a different entree, so we did a little sampling of each others' plates. Everything was wonderful! Best fried chicken ever and the shrimp and grits was perfect! Don't let fried chicken and donuts scare you off. It was a great pairing and the dark chocolate pecan pie with homemade vanilla ice cream was to die for. Trust me when I tell you this restaurant is NOT overrated; it's wonderful with great servers (Ask for Michelle; she's the best!)and great food.

Pros:

Best Comfort Food Ever

Review of Spice Road Table

I really hope this was an off night and not representative of the day to day service at this location. Of all the Table Service meals we had on our trip, this was by far, the one I was most looking forward to.

We had reservations for 6:25, and we were seated promptly. We were given a table on the patio. The temperature had started to drop and we asked if they could turn the patio heaters on. We were told that nobody knew how to get them going! It's the 1st of December and nobody figured out how to turn on the heaters?!? Ok, moving on....we ordered our drinks, and our waitress disappeared for about 20 minutes, came back with our drinks and took our order. Again, 45 minutes later our food arrived. My wife got the lamb sliders, and I ordered the coriander rack of lamb. The food was good, not great but good.

All in all, I love the architecture and location of the Spice Road Table. The food was just OK, but the service was very disappointing. I do hope it was just a bad night......

Best thing ever. All ride photos and group shots organized in one place. Some shots are animated in a video, which are easily posted on social media such a Facebook. You never have to take a single picture. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Pros:

You don't need to bring a camera.

Cons:

NONE.

Worth every penny. Didn't watch any of the parade or fireworks, just jumped from attraction. Low lines, and for that, Worth Every Penny. Only way we were able to eat at Be Our Guest.

Pros:

LOW Lines, only way to ride the 7 Dwarves and eat at Be Our Guest

Cons:

Can't think of one.

If you go, save your dining credits and just order the COBB SALAD. It's amazing, and pretty much the only thing that was outstanding. I regret spending double table credits for something that I could have just bought. The triple pork plate just didn't look appealing, but server Tim was outstanding. Trust me, just buy the Cobb Salad and the dessert trio.

Pros:

Ohmygoodness the COBB SALAD!!!

Cons:

Over priced for meh kind of food.

I probably should have known that a 6:15 reservation here would not work out well. Close to park closing, the servers were rushing around trying to clean things up for the night. I was seated at a table against the wall near the kitchen and it was noisy and busy. I ordered a wine flight, oak fired mussels and the steak with Tuscan mashed potatoes instead of mac & cheese. Took a while for bread and olive oil to arrive, then the mussels and wine flight quickly followed. Mussels were a bit tough, but had good flavor. Server briefly told me what each of the wines were. My main course came out not long after and was delivered by another server who did not bring a steak knife. I had to wait for my server to finally come and ask how things were before I got said knife. Steak was good, as were mashed potatoes, but I have to wonder why there wasn't any kind of vegetable. All in all a rather uncomfortable dining situation with all the rushing around me and all the noise.

Pros:

some of the food

Cons:

service and table location

I've always preferred the Pop Century over the last ten years, because you're just there to shower and sleep, right?

WRONG-- this hotel is always the furthest bus station at the parks, and the rooms feel dirty. Save up your money and go Moderate...it's worth it.

Pros:

Cheap. That's about it.

Cons:

Where can I begin?

Review of Caribbean Beach Resort (Moderate Resort)

We were excited to try this moderate as we enjoyed Coronado Springs a few years ago but we were very disappointed with this resort.

CONS: long check in (room not available until late), not enough people working outside with baggage etc.., room was clean where you looked but not behind tv dresser where I dropped something (yuck!!), no special mouse-keeping animals for my DD, air conditioner had strange rattle that happened after it ran for awhile (loud enough to wake you up), bathroom constantly smelled like sewage (close door and run fan - disgusting!) , food court was nothing special and not enough healthy choices like fruit and cheese plate etc.. resort pathways wander aimlessly, buses were unreliable as times kept changing and some never showed up (the worst of any resort we have been to),

PROS: Room was quiet enough with courtyard view (martinique), close to a bus stop, pool area fine, hot tubs (2) fine, small towels though, queen beds are comfortable, lots of pillows,

This resort is an overpriced Value resort with queen beds.
It was clean and had pretty surroundings but nothing special or outstanding that would make you return. From our experience we would NOT return nor recommend CB.

Pros:

Queen Beds

Cons:

Resort layout, sewage smell in bathroom, no special mousekeeping
