We were disappointed because we didn't know what to expect. Since this turned out to be a plated meal the price seems too high. The price would have been fine if there was a buffet where you could go to try many different selections and get seconds. The food is good, but not exceptional. There was too much that was breakfast-y and not enough choices that were more lunch-like. Our server was not very affable or knowledgeable about the food.

Pros:

Good food

Cons:

Not a buffet

Review of Sci-Fi Dine-in Theatre Lunch/Dinner

This place has great charm and we usually end up here for every trip but recent menu changes leave it lacking for those with food allergies. I must avoid gluten and dairy, my 2 sons gluten. According to the allergy menu my entree choice was a burger, I could also get an appetizer salad or chicken wings. Since we had eaten a big lunch I opted to get the salad and pick from my sons plates. My kids got the allergy popcorn chicken which was just fried chicken tenders. They were ok but bland. The kids choices weren't really consistent with the restaurant theme. What 3 year old wants grilled salmon in a car watching a movie screen ? Would love to have seen a hot dog in a basket, real popcorn chicken in a popcorn box, etc. some healthy is Disney is ok, but I feel like there is a time and place and this isn't it. Had a 4 o'clock reservation. Sat at about 4:20 and left at about 5:30, no dessert.

Pros:

Ambiance

Cons:

Poor allergy choices

Review of Chip and Dale Harvest Feast at The Garden Grill

We ate here on the first night of our trip, 6/25. We hadn't heard great things about the food but wanted to try it for the novelty of the rotating restaurant and the characters for our kids. We were very pleasantly surprised. I am allergic to gluten and dairy, my 2 boys age 3 and 6 to gluten and my husband can eat traditionally. We got 2 separate salads, one with the buttermilk dressing, one with oil and vinegar, both full and fresh. Along with regular rolls our waiter brought out a tray of warm, gluten free rolls which were quite a treat. When the food was served we got 2 family style platters. The allergy platter was different but delicious. We had beef over sweet potato fries, sausage over white rice and turkey over garlic green beans. My 3 year old and I put quite a dent in it but there was still a lot left over ( the 6 year old fell, asleep ). The turkey was moist, the beef was cooked medium, the sausage were flavorful. The characters here were dressed very cute as well and very engaging. We had a center table which at first I was a little disappointed about but it ended up being a little less chaotic when the restaurant rotated to the main part of the building.

Pros:

Great allergy options

Cons:

Slow

Review of Nomad Lounge

My mom & I had a chance to try the Nomad Lounge on Sat 6/18. We were headed to dinner at Tiffin's and had some time to kill. Plus it was incredibly hot & humid, we needed a cold drink, LOL. We went inside & ordered at the bar, but I believe there is service outside as well. We went outside to sit down and enjoyed our margaritas. Covered (shaded) porch, comfy seats, soothing music & nice margaritas - we really liked the outside seating of the lounge. It was very quiet, a nice little break from the chaos of the parks. Plus we had a good view when the weather broke & the thunderstorm came blasting through. The inside is nicely decorated as well. Can't comment on the food as we did not eat at the lounge, we waited until we went inside to Tiffin's.

Pros:

atmosphere, staff, drinks

We stayed in a 1 bedroom villa the first week in May. Did online check-in which was seamless. Room was in excellent condition and very clean. Housekeeping well done. Bell services were fast. Very much enjoyed our stay here and will be glad to visit again.

Review of Old Key West Resort (Disney Vacation Club)

We were a party of 9 (7 adults and two year old twins) and stayed for 7 nights in a Grand Villa that we paid for using rented points from a DVC member. We were in Room #5122 and it was great; I was able to park my mini-van just outside the door and the bus stop was at the end of the parking lot. The entrance to our villa was on the 2nd floor so having my vehicle just outside meant that my nephew was able to store the double stroller in the back of the van and didn't have to carry it up and down the stairs. There was also a smoking area at the bottom of the stairs which my sister appreciated. The villa itself was just amazing! The babies were happy staying in the pack-n-plays in the master bedroom with my nephew and his wife. The rest of us were in the two bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen was great - plenty of room to store all the (breakfast) food and snacks we brought with us. We didn't have too much time to enjoy the balcony, but did spend some time in the living room and dining room just hanging out and playing games once the twins were in bed. We took one day "off" from the parks and hung out at the pool swimming and sunning before going to Disney Springs for dinner. We're already planning on another trip in two or three years before the twins start school. If we are the same size group, I would definitely try to stay in a Grand Villa again - maybe stay long enough to have two days "off" so we can enjoy the resort more, lol.

Pros:

HUGE Villa

Cons:

counter service doesn't have inside seating

A simple spaghetti dinner was fun in a pleasant space. My wife punched me when I asked for a glass of red wine and our server had to remind me that there's no alcohol in the MK.

Pros:

A lot of fun

Cons:

Not the greatest food

We ate a Via Napoli on 6/21/16. Looking at the menu prior to our trip I was a little confused, especially about how to order the pizza. Our waitress explained it all of our party of 13 wonderfully. Not being on the dining plan were able to share pizza and the wonderful salad. My wife, brother-in-law, and I shared the Capricciosa Pizza in was delicious. Others shared 2 Mezzo Metro Pepperoni Pizza. This is a must do for next time!

Pros:

Food Great, Table Perfect, Service Great

It was a little outside our comfort zone and felt uncomfortable when we did not upgrade to the more expensive 10 course. The food is good but truthfully we can't remember many of the courses we tasted. The wine pairing was very good and generous.

Pros:

Interesting food, excellent service

Cons:

A little pushy to upgrade our order

Had the Fantasmic Package for lunch. All of us had the charred steak. I have had this meal the last three times, and it remains one of my favorite meals at WDW. Though my kids got this entree because I informed them that the price was the same regardless of what they ordered, we all agreed that the char on the beef with the sauce was wonderful. My only concern was eating this meal at noon seemed a bit heavy.

Pros:

Food quality

Cons:
