My family of 6 enjoyed dinner here on July 5th. We had a 5:30 reservation and were seated right away.
The food was really good. We enjoyed the zucchini appetizer. For entrees, we had spaghetti and meatballs, lasagna, NY strip, and alfredo pasta.
Our waiter was very friendly and chatty.

I have dined here once before, so I was excited to try it again. Unfortunately, I have to say I was a little disappointed this time.
My family of 6 dined here on the 4th of July, before the fireworks. We had a 6:30 reservation and probably waited about 10 minutes to be seated, which was no, big deal.
The food was ok this time, nothing exceptional. We had pasta, New York strips, burgers and the salmon. My husband and I shared the cheese plate as our appetizer. The crackers were stale, and the portion size was extremely small.
The service was lacking. Our waitress forgot to take my order and we had to call her back. She was also slow with refilling our drinks.
I would probably give the Grand Floridian Cafe another chance in the future, but I won't be rushing back.

My family of 6 along with my visiting sister dined here on July 3rd. We had 5:30 reservations, and showed up about 15 minutes late, because the It's a Small World's line ran a little longer than expected. That being said, we were seated right away.
Our waitress took our drink orders after we sat down and delivered 2 bowls of salad and a basket of bread soon after. The rest of the bounty just kept coming, and asking for more was never an issue.
The food was all hot and tasty. I do miss the cobbler though. It was replaced with some sort of cake that was just all right.
I didn't give this restaurant a 10, because our waitress was not very friendly and she made a mistake with our dining plan.
I have dined here at least 4 or 5 times in the past and have always enjoyed it. I do miss the characters!!!!!

My family of 6 enjoyed dinner here on July 2. I was very hesitant after some of the negative reviews, but I have to say this was probably my favorite meal of the entire 6 day trip.
We were seated promptly at our 6 o'clock reservation time and the service was excellent. Our waiter, Matt was wonderful. Ask for him if you dine here. He made sure all of our needs were met. He was also very friendly and chatted up my entire family.
We enjoyed crab cakes, clam chowder (best I have EVER had), crab legs, NY strips, fish of the day and pasta.

I've said it before and I will say it again, Olivia's is a hidden gem. My husband and I have eaten lunch here twice and breakfast once. Our family of 6 enjoyed dinner here on July 1st.
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We enjoyed conch fritters, NY strip steaks, pork chops and the pasta creation of the day.
I highly suggest giving this restaurant a try. I guarantee that you will be pleasantly surprised!

My family of 6 visited AoA from July 1 to July 6. We stayed in the Finding Nemo section, building 5, room #5732 on the third floor. The location was perfect (we were close to the pool and Animation Hall), the room was clean and it fit all of our needs. Mousekeeping did an excellent job and we received 3 towel animals upon arrival!!
Traveling with 13 year old twins, a 17 year old and 21 year old, my husband and I weren't sure how the kids would feel about such a child friendly, themed resort. Well, we need not have worried. They all loved it! They had fun swimming in the pool and posing for pictures with all the larger than life statues.
Landscape of Flavors was nice. The lines were long at times, but moved quickly. The food was good. The caprese sandwich was awesome and we all enjoyed the Mickey waffles. The staff was efficient and friendly.
Having stayed at the GF, WL, AKL, and a variety of other deluxe, moderate and value resorts, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!!! 🙂

This was our first character meal with our son Max. We were quite worried, because he would not meet any characters up to this point (he was 2). However the first character was Pluto, and he noticed that Max was shy and played peekaboo with him, until he was comfortable and then let Max "steal his nose" After this Max loved all the characters and couldn't wait to high five them, steal their noses and play peekaboo. This alone was worth the price, however we were both pleasantly surprised by the food. We went in expecting just ok food, as we have experienced at other characters, but we really enjoyed our meal.

We had an incredible dinner here on June 18th. DS had the individual wood fire cheese pizza - amazing! I had the candele which everyone at the table had wished they ordered. DH & DB had the chicken parmigiana and enjoyed it (however they both wished they had ordered the candele instead), DD had the kids spaghetti and meatballs and ate the whole thing! I had the ugly but good and it was incredible, soft yummy gelato with cookies. DS and DD both had gelato and loved it. DB had the tiramasu and thought it was very good. This is now on our list as a must do next trip. They did seem to have difficulty figuring out the DDP, but our waiter was so sweet and kind.

We ate dinner on June 10th. We were a party of 8. Half of the group were seafood lovers and loved the offerings. Crab Legs were great, clams, mussels, shrimp. Food was hot, fresh and yummy. However, the non-seafood lovers not so much. All of ours were miserable. No Ribs, No real chicken offerings other than legs and thighs either in marinara sauce or fried. This was a definite bust for our group. The chef told us they took Ribs off the buffet about a year ago and apologized. As anything with Disney they tried there best to accommodate the non-seafood lovers, just not much of a selection.

Whispering Canyon has been a part of our family Disney traditions for years and years and it did not disappoint again. We had dinner here on June 16 (Father's Day) and it was fantastic. We were a party of 8 and all of us ordered the skillet dinner. Something for everyone. DS, DD and myself loved the fish, the ribs and steak were a huge hit. Yes, the atmosphere is loud and rowdy and there are kids running around the restaurant on wooden horses and people bringing ketchup to other tables. All in all it is a fun dinner, food is delicious. We will be back!
