After reading all of the bad reviews, we were pleasantly surprised with our first visit here. The french baguette was different and quite good. The butter was soft and had a nice light oil with it. Our kids downed the bread and butter pretty quickly. The French onion soupd was fantastic. Was it the best I've had? Probably not, but it was close. They have supposedly redone their filet which was excellent when I tried it. I ordered the beef bourginion which was also excellent. The desserts were just ok and probably the biggest let down.
We would eat here again despite the cost because we enjoyed the food that much. I think they have been working on the food quality.

Legendary Paul Walker did not die for this ride to be what it is. Highly do NOT recommend. It is an embarrassment to universal and rides all across the globe.

We have always been a big fan of here. and usually visit it more then once, a trip. But, we are sadly taking this totally off our list. Had a terrible experience here. From our CM waiter to the food. I ordered the pork chop and Ive cooked and seen many pork chops before but, I would not of recognized this as one?? It was round with a ring of fat about 1 1/2 inches around the entire circle. Trying to cut through that was a workout. Thinking this must be something special for the interesting prestation I was wrong the inside was a serious red to pink. Never been served a not cooked piece of pork before? The only thing worse was watching our waiter talk up another waitress at the lil bar for the next half hour > so asking for a refire or something else was off the table. By time he came we just wanted to leave. We did talk to the manager > but I told her I wasn't asking for anything just they need to start cooking the pork properly or people are going to get sick. By far the total worse experience ever at WDW resturants.

Had lunch here and loved the new menu item. Chicken Cordon blue the sauce is great. Always great bread service. Very nice CM waiter.

Just had 10 wonderful days at BLT. 1 br Villa. We where on 12th floor facing north. Lake view / with view of MK. Great location. Even down hall wasn't too far from elevators. The 1 br villa is spacious and well done. Great rehab! Quick, and friendly mousekeeping daily. (we are not dvc). Everything in total working order. Patio door a bit hard to lock to main room. But nothing else. Location was very quiet. Yes, pool can use some work, but it is to start in January. We love the CR pools too so used both. Had 1 interesting experience with the bellhop, who threaten that I better return the luggage rack. I told him should I haul it back out to the middle of the parking lot where I found it? (true). Yes, & I did return it to him.
Pros:
Being connected to the CR is a total plus. You go over and shop, eat, swim and return to our little quiet building. Best of both worlds. Parking although hard to find is all nearby, no issues. We saw several characters visiting. Transportation is easy and quick.Cons:

Villa was up to what we were used to, clean and very nicely furnished. We have been a DVC member since 1992 and have stayed at almost all of the sites. Riviera would be our first choice.

The villas while very nice, are too far from restaurants or any place for food. The food was good if not great once you walked from the villas. Parking was almost full and you had to be lucky just to get a place. Thank goodness the DVC person did show us a place to park that was within a couple of blocks from our villa. I started a new tradition on my May visit. I always eat my first dinner here and this trip I made a second reservation for my last night of vacation based on a recommendation from my waitress Alice during my October 2024 visit. She said I must try the shrimp fettuccini (her favorite)instead of always ordering the Carciofi (artichoke) pizza. I said I didn't know if I could go without my pizza, hence two reservations in May-one for pizza and one for fettuccini. And both dinners were fantastic! The Carciofi pizza is a white pizza with artichokes, fontina cheese and truffle oil. The taste is very unique and delicious. I usually accompany it with a Limoncello Mule and finish with a cappuccino. I chose prosecco to go with my fettuccini. Via Napoli's sauce was so good, not overly rich, and there were so many shrimps. A couple years ago I had the fettuccini at Tutto Italia and it was very disappointing. I didn't eat much of it. Via Napoli's fettuccine sure has it beat. So this October I am doing it again-two Via Napoli dinners. And I can't wait! Deliziosa!!!

I had the pleasure of having dinner here in May and it was a lovely experience. The restaurant itself is beautiful and draped in pretty floral garlands. My waiter, Jacob, explained the menu to me and answered all my questions. I ordered a margarita and smiled when it was served-the pink color matched the waiters vests! My chicken piccata with lemon pasta was delicious. Jacob stopped by often to visit and to see if I needed anything. I really wanted to try the cake for dessert but just couldn't eat another bite so I took a piece of the Millionaire's Cake back to the hotel with me. Before I left, I told Jacob I'd be back on my next trip and asked him if I should try breakfast or lunch. He said lunch. I asked the same question of the young man who seated me and he said breakfast. So that gave me two reasons to return. I have an October reservation for lunch and I'm sure I'll be back after that to try breakfast. The atmosphere, the service, the food and the drink were great. And I got two days of dessert from that large piece of cake-so yummy. Biggest decision for October will be which cake to try next!
