We came in for the kitchen sink. We got fries as well. The fries were crispy and warm and the kitchen sink was amazing. The brownies in it were so yummy! There were 7 in our group and we didn't finish it! Everyone should try this at least once!!!!

Pros:

Kitchen Sink, Fries, CMs

Cons:

I'm surprised that the reviews here are as low as they are. I had an ADR, but didn't need one bc I am a member of Landry's Select Club. You are treated almost like royalty, so that's fun. Our meal was good as well. My children loved the theming and the fish. We will def come back.
The only con I have is that when we requested our check it took a little while to get to us. They were very busy though!

Pros:

Animals fun, theming awesome, food good

Cons:

wait on check

Review of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

This was our first stay at Pop. We had a wonderful time here.
Check in was a breeze, only took a few minutes. We were super early and room wasn't ready, but I got a text by 9am saying it was ready. We were already in Down Town Disney by then!
Our room was comfortable and clean. Mousekeeping was sufficient, but didn't go above and beyond. We asked for extra soap and tipped but none were left. It didn't bother us too much, though!
The kids enjoyed the activities and the arcade. The shopping and food court were great as well. We ate there many times. The pizza was surprisingly good. We came in late one night and got delivery. We are a family of 5 with the 5th being a baby and we were comfortable in the room. We didn't spend a great deal of time in there though!
The theming was great. My one year old son loved the Mickey phone and the potato heads.
While my husband was loading our car to leave I took the kids to the small children's area. What a great treasure that little area was! There were Disney shows playing, video games, little comfy chairs, and best of all the most wonderful CM we have ever met. She sat in the floor and played potato heads with my son (his favorite). She was silly and he instantly loved her. After they played she played a board game with my 7 yo daughter. She was wonderful!
I would not hesitate to stay at Pop again!

Pros:

CMs, theming, kids area

Cons:

none

ABD - Australia 2014

Cast & Crew
Me (50 something Disney fanatic), DW (50 something vacation lover), DS (17 Disney fanatic), DD (17 Disney fanatic) – Twins!

I had very high expectations for this trip based on our experience last year with Adventures by Disney in Ireland. I have to say they were exceeded.

The Ireland trip was mostly about the culture of Ireland. This trip was more of an outdoor adventure trip with snorkeling, surfing, hiking, and ziplining. I enjoyed it even more than last year because of that.

Like last year, we felt we really got our money’s worth on this trip. The guides took lots of photos of each family which are posted in a website only the people on the tour can access. The days were well-planned and there were fun contingencies if something wasn't possible. The guides gave us restaurant suggestions in each city. Hotels were luxurious. The guides provided snacks on the bus.

The guides were really first rate.

There was just enough time on our own to not feel like we were always rushing here and there. A quiet meal as a family a few times during the trip was a perfect way to take a break from the group and build family memories.

Pros:

You can just relax because they care of all the details

My husband and I stayed at POR on 11/18/14 to 11/26/14, leaving just before Thanksgiving. Even though that was a crowded time to visit WDW, the resort was always serene and peaceful. We love the Bayou area and stayed in building 26 this time. We usually stay closer to the Mill, but booked later and got 26. At first we were apprehensive about the distance to the Mill, and the West depot. We both have mobility issues. However, I think bldg. 26 was closer and a more direct route to the main bldg. We also liked the West depot. It wasn't as crowded as South, and we had no problem with the buses at all. Most of them were within 10 minutes wait. The Mill had great food, esp the make your own salad and pasta bowl! I had a wonderful ice cream sundae which was huge! Everyone from the front desk to housekeeping were friendly and helpful. We have never been disappointed at this resort and love the paths, tropical setting, and feeling of isolation. We are going back next year around this time too and can't wait!

Pros:

beautiful grounds, clean, quiet

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this meal was.
My daughter and I got individual pizzas and honestly it was very good. My younger daughter got pasta which she loved. My husband also got pasta with shrimp and he really enjoyed it.
Dessert was very good as well. I got the fried ricotta ...so good. My husband got the tiramisu ...pretty good. And my daughter got the some raspberry fizzy milkshake drink which was really good as well.
Our server was friendly and helpful.
I would eat here again. Try the La Rossa beer ...it was excellent.

Very good food, good service

Review of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (Magic Kingdom)

We attended on 12/16/14.
This was out first MVMCP. My favorite part was the Christmas Parade . We attended the first parade which was very crowded and people were holding their spots on Main Street about an hour before. The parade itself was worth it. My children loved the snow on Main Street. The lighting of the castle was very pretty but we were too far back to actually see the show.
My girls wanted to meet Mickey and were able to do that with a 30 min wait which seemed the same on any given day.
It was very crowded. We were able to do the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train which was only a 40 min wait for Stand By which was less then what a normal day might be ( average stand by wait while we were there was 60-80mins) .
The meet and greets were crowded and the holiday dance parties were fun and less crowded.
I don't know if I would do it again for the price it cost it may not be worth it. Our children are 11 and 7 yrs old and couldn't stay up to midnight. I think if you do go , make sure you have a plan about what you really want to do while there.
The cast members were checking wrist bands and there were some people we saw who tried to avoid paying and were asked to leave.

Pros:

Snow on Main Street , Christmas Parade

Cons:

Crowds

We ate here on 12/16/14 for dinner. The staff and our server were excellent. So friendly and helpful.
We had crab cakes as an appetizer which was very good. My daughter had the swordfish , excellent. I had the tofu asian noodles, excellent . For dessert the banana cream was very good and chocolate fondue was good too.
The best was the bread with almond butter...excellent.
I would highly recommend eating here. I feel like it's a hidden gem for a great meal.

Food, friendly service

We stayed here 12/15-12/19/14. We were in Casitas 3 building, first floor. I was worried about the distance in walking but this room was close to the front lobby so it was only a short walk. It was a longer walk to one of the bus stops but close to the lobby bus stop.
The room itself was clean and looked updated. The bathroom again was clean but it looked like it needed some updating.
Buses ran about every 20 mins or so but it seemed as if the lobby bus stop was most crowded. It was worth the walk to a bus stop further from our room to avoid the crowd.
We only ate at the Pepper Market. The food was good. Nothing spectacular but adequate for a quick breakfast or lunch.
Overall it was a pretty good experience and I would stay here again.

Pros:

Friendly staff, pretty grounds

Cons:

Bathroom needs updating
