FIRST-EVER D23 EXPO JAPAN TO BE HELD OCTOBER 12—14, 2013
Posted onThe Walt Disney Company Japan announced today that it will stage the first-ever D23 Expo Japan, a special event for Disney fans created by D23: The Official Disney Fan Club. D23 Expo Japan, the first Expo to be held outside the U.S., will feature an array of engaging presentations, hosted by senior Disney creative executives, showcasing what's on the horizon from across The Walt Disney Company, including theme parks, movies, television, music, and interactive gaming.

SeaWorld Orlando’s Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin to open May 24
Posted onConstruction is on-schedule at SeaWorld Orlando's new attraction, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin, and the park has announced May 24 as its grand opening date. Check out our video of the announcement. Later in the week Deb will have a blog with extensive photos of the construction site.
SeaWorld Orlando Bands, Brew & BBQ
Posted onSeaWorld partners with local restaurants for great BBQ, an array of beers and tops it off with a classic rock and country music concert. Check out Deb's report with photos and video. This year's event is held Saturdays and Sundays now through March 17th, 2013. The event area opens at 11:30am and closes at 7pm. Concerts begin at 4:00pm. Bands, Brew & BBQ is included with your park admission.
BOTTOM LINE: I had a great time and hope to get back to see another concert and chow down on more BBQ before the festival ends!

Hidden Mickeys at Disney’s Water Parks
Posted onOver at Typhoon Lagoon, some of the walkways are lined with logs on end. In several places around the park, the log ends form classic Mickeys, like this image on the left of the walkway near the top of the long stair climb to Humunga Kowabunga.
