We love heading to Universal Orlando for some Wizarding World fun. Where else can you fly on a broomstick, ride Hagrid’s motorbike, and drink an ice-cold frozen Butterbeer all in one place?

If you have a skip-the-line Express Pass you’re hoping to use in the Wizarding World, we have some bad news for you – Universal just discontinued Express Passes for a popular Harry Potter ride.
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a thrilling, fast-paced roller coaster where you join Hogwarts’ groundskeeper Hagrid to tour the Forbidden Forest in search of unicorns, three-headed dogs, and more! It’s one of the most popular rides in Islands of Adventure with an average wait time of two hours.

Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure has been offered with the Express Pass, Universal Orlando’s paid skip-the-line service. However, Universal just quietly announced that the ride will no longer be available with the Express Pass. Starting on July 1st, 2026, the ride will be standby only!

“We are implementing an operational update to Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure,” a statement by Universal began. “Effective July 1st, 2026, the attraction will no longer be included in the Universal Express program, allowing us to improve the flow of the experience for all of our guests.”

While Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure will become only a standby line, the rest of the rides in Hogwarts and Hogmeade will keep their Express Pass line. Flight of the Hippogriff, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, and the Hogwarts Express will continue to offer an Express Pass line in July.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any more changes to Universal Orlando’s Express Pass. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Universal news!
