As Disney fans, we have multiple ways of interacting with Disney online, with a variety of websites and apps like My Disney Experience, the Disneyland App, Disney+, The Disney Store, and more.

But wouldn’t it be easier to access all things Disney under one app? Well, Disney is reportedly working on making that happen, and it seems like the company is committed to giving Disney fans an easier way to access everything Disney offers at once.
Disney Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Hugh Johnston recently held a Q&A session for MoffettNathanson’s Media, Internet & Communications Conference. During that session, someone asked about the potential all-in-one app that Disney is reportedly looking into. The app would bring everything under one roof (aka an app), including The Disney Store and Disney+, as well as Disney Cruise Line and the theme parks.

When asked about opportunities for having one app for Disney, Johnston remarked, “Yes, over time, we do think that’s out there.” He also mentioned that the parks would be integrated into that as well. So you could shop Disney merchandise, watch your favorite Disney shows, and book a Disney vacation all in one place.

Johnston also commented that being able to create an all-in-one app could give the company a “significant competitive advantage that’s hard to replicate.” He also mentioned that this would be the best way for Disney to “compete successfully and win with that set of assets.”

As a company, Disney is in a unique position to do just. It’s only one of a few companies that has such a variety of products and services to offer. Making those products and services easier to get to without ever having to leave one app could result in more brand loyalty and profit.
