CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: This Magic Kingdom Land Looks Different!

In 2026, it’s no surprise that there are construction walls everywhere — especially in Magic Kingdom!

You probably know of the two lands that are causing quite the commotion in Magic Kingdom — Piston Peak and Villains Land. There are also a few rides that are still under refurbishment in this park as well. But we’ve also been keeping our eyes on this one store that is undergoing construction. Let’s take a look at Storybook Circus.

Located just inside Storybook Circus, you’ll find Big Top Souvenirs, which is surrounded by construction walls now.

Big Top Souvenirs is the huge circus tent you see in Storybook Circus, filled with Disney souvenirs, treats, slushies, and more. It’s been closed for extensive refurbishment of the tent’s structure since February 20th. It’s supposed to open later this year, but there hasn’t been any word on a specific date.

However, the top of the big tent has now been removed, exposing the metal framing underneath.

Could this mean we will get a new tent to replace the old one, or will they repair the old tent? Here’s a closer look at the exposed beams.
