Due to our nearly daily visits to Disney World and Disneyland, we’re able to say we’ve eaten at pretty much every single restaurant across both resorts. However, Disneyland Paris was a whole other ballgame, and the team was starting out totally fresh!

With so many restaurants to visit in only a few days, we had a LOT to get through, and one of the restaurants that was high on our list was Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia in Disneyland Paris’ Frontierland. Is this quick-service restaurant worth the stop? Let’s find out!
Background
Casa de Coco – Restaurante de Familia opened on July 29th, 2023, and was a retheme of the restaurant Fuente del Oro Restaurante. This restaurant serves up Mexican cuisine, just like it did before the retheme, but now has some menu items that are specifically designed to be in relation to Coco.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.
Atmosphere
Disneyland Paris went ALL OUT when they themed this restaurant to Coco! Outside, you’ll find a large statue of Miguel, and inside, if you listen closely, you’ll hear traditional Mexican songs or Remember Me from the film.

Inside, you’ll also find decorations that tie into the film practically everywhere you look. You’ll especially find lots of alebrije designs (the spirit guides to the Land of the Dead), and one of them in particular is giant and looks just like the alebrije version of Dante.

One section of the restaurant is the Sala de Familia, which has photos of all of Miguel’s family members, and all the shoes on top of the portraits represent the family’s trade, shoemaking.

One of Quincy’s favorite parts about the restaurant as a whole was that it looks like it’s set after the first movie, so one of the dining rooms is a music room back in the Rivera house!

If you’re a fan of Coco, this restaurant is absolutely a must-visit just to see the design, even if you don’t plan on dining there. But if you are hungry and you’re a fan of Mexican food, is this a spot worth spending money at? Let’s dive in!
Food & Drinks
Starting off with the “appetizers,” in a way, we grabbed the Jalapeños au cheddar (Jalapeños with cheddar cheese) for 5,5€.

These had a fantastic gooey interior with a crunchy exterior, and they only had a mid-level spice, being more cheesy than fiery. It’s not a standout in the world of jalapeño poppers, but as it’s also hard to mess them up, we definitely think they still work well to share, or to grab as a side.

You can also grab the Frites (fries) as a side for 4€. These are hot, crispy, and seasoned, but your basic theme park fry. They’re reliable but unremarkable, and we do feel they work really well as a side with burritos or empanadas.

Next up was the Bouchées au poulet sauce à La Vache (Chicken bits and La Vache qui rit® sauce) for 7€. These are basically bite-sized chicken nuggets with Laughing Cow cheese sauce, and since the sauce itself is mild, tangy, and nostalgic, it’s very kid-friendly. It’s practically popcorn chicken, meaning it’s a great option for those who aren’t a big fan of Mexican food!

We also grabbed the Burrito au bœuf (Beef Burrito) for 12€, which is made with spicy beef chili, rice, grated cheddar, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and cilantro.

The beef was seasoned well, but the lettuce was a little wilted from the overall texture. The flavor overall reminded us of Taco Bell, but in a good way, and while the seasoning is warm and slightly smoky, it has a very mild spice, meaning it’s good for all palates. It’s also large enough to share, which we appreciated!

Next up were the Empanadas de carne for 15€, which are empanadas with beef, rice, melted cheddar-jalapeño sauce, tomato, red onion, and cilantro.

The jalapeño-cheddar sauce adds creaminess and mild heat that pairs very well with the beef, and while it’s overall a little greasy, it’s also very satisfying — it gave us strong comfort food energy, which we loved. Our only complaint was that the crust was a little too stiff on the edges, but overall it was pretty solid!

For dessert, we had to grab the Inoubliable Accord (Exotic Melody) for 5€, which is a sponge cake and exotic mousse entremet.

This was a BIG hit for us! Not only is it visually cute, but it’s also light and tropical, and we’d say it’s worth coming to the restaurant just to grab it. It’s got a subtle sweetness and nice mousse texture, and we loved it so much, we literally couldn’t stop eating it.

You can also grab the Menu Mariachi for 22€. This includes a burrito (beef, chicken, or vegan), a side (fries or salad), and Inoubliable Accord dessert. This was a good value combo compared to à la carte pricing, and the burritos themselves are generous in size. We also enjoyed that the presentation of this is casual and approachable for those from Europe, as well as those visiting from elsewhere. We’d totally get it again!

To drink, we picked up the Frozen saveur Margarita avec alcool (Frozen Margarita flavor with alcohol) for 9€.

It has a classic margarita flavor and was very light on the alcohol. It was slightly tart, but very refreshing with the heavier food served here.
Magic or Tragic?
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You are a fan of the movie Coco. This goes without saying (you saw the restaurant above!), but even if you don’t want the food here, it’s worth stopping in to see the decor. You won’t regret it!
- You’re a picky eater who wants something familiar. We compared some items here to Taco Bell, so if you’re worried about finding something you’ll like at Disneyland Paris, this menu should ease some of that anxiety.
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want to try the best food at Disneyland Paris. Although we didn’t mind this food and it filled us up, this isn’t the best food you’ll eat in the parks. We were super impressed by the Mickey-shaped pizza at Colonel Hathi’s Outpost Restaurant as another quick option!

Overall, we think this is a great spot to go if you’re from the U.S. or love Mexican food and want something that’s solid and won’t let you down. Is it going to shock you and impress you? Maybe not, but you won’t be disappointed, and when you’re in a park you may be less familiar with, that can be really important.

We got to do SO much in Disneyland Paris, we’re slowly but surely getting through all our content to bring it to you all, so stay tuned to AllEars!
