We finally have more details for Disney World’s newest hotel!

Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is the newest Disney Vacation Club Resort, and we have eagerly been waiting for news since it was announced in 2024. Disney has heard our pleas because we finally have a timeline for when this resort will open!
Disney Lakeshore Lodge now has an opening timeline of summer 2027. In the coming months, Disney will be sharing multiple updates on the hotel, and in this initial update, we got new concept art.
The new concept art gives an aerial view from the front of the resort, showcasing the bus depot and port cochere. It looks as though the resort will be surrounded by lots of trees and greenery, which is fitting, as it is going to be nature-themed.

The resort will be home to 967 rooms, and will “offer a variety of ways to stay, from cozy studios to spacious suites.” Many of those rooms will offer views of Bay Lake, and subsequently, Magic Kingdom fireworks. The resort will also have one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses on the waterfront.

Disney has noted that in the coming months, they’ll share more about the “dining locations, recreational offerings, amenities, and distinctive design details” that make Lakeshore Lodge special. We’ll be on the lookout for those announcements and relay the information to our readers as soon as we get it!

While it will be a Disney Vacation Club resort, even those who aren’t DVC members will be able to stay at this new hotel located next to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. We’ve been following along with this resort’s construction since it was announced, and boy, have they made some progress!

When the resort was originally announced in 2018, it was called Reflections — A Disney Lakeside Lodge. That was before Disney made the change in 2024, but it’s still in the same location as it was always meant to be. It’s actually located on the land that was once the River Country water park!

Lakeshore Lodge will be “inspired by the majesty of nature and its enduring influence on Disney artists.” It will also have more than 900 rooms, including cabin-like rooms that appear up in the trees. It will be included in the Magic Kingdom resort area, meaning you will just be a short boat ride away from Cinderella Castle.

While we wait for the opening, you can work on booking your dream trip now! We recommend our friends at Mouse Fan Travel. They’re experts in the field with over 20 years of vacation planning experience, and they can help take a bunch of the stress out of the entire booking process for you!
As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
