Think you’re a Disney expert? Want to become one? You’re in the right place. Disney just dropped some big news, and we’ve got it all here just for YOU.

On August 6th, 2025, Disney released its earnings report for Q3 of fiscal year 2025 and held its earnings call. Disney shared updates about its theme parks, Disney+, ESPN, and more. So let’s take a closer look at what’s going on at the House of Mouse right now!
1 — Big Picture Updates
We’ll start by taking a look at the big picture — an overview of the Walt Disney Company’s financial situation. For Q3, Disney revealed that the company’s revenues increased 2% for Q3 2025 to $23.7 billion from $23.2 billion for Q3 2024. Diluted earnings per share for Q3 2025 was up to $2.92 from $1.43 for Q3 2024.

In Q2, revenues were $23.6 billion and diluted earnings per share were $1.81, just to give you a comparison.
That’s a big-picture look at the financial situation there, but the Walt Disney Company is made up of many different parts. How are those doing? Let’s find out.
2 — Theme Parks, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Merchandise (Disney Experiences)
First, let’s talk about the Disney Experiences division, which covers Cruise Line, merchandise, and the theme parks. For Q3, Disney announced that Parks and Experiences revenue was $9,806,000 in Q3 2025 up from $8,386,000 in Q3 2024 This comes after Disney had previously said that bookings were “up” in the summer.

Disney has announced quite a few discounts and deals for upcoming months to entice more visitors, including a special gift card promotion for new Annual Passholders.
With lots of projects underway for the Disney theme parks (like Pueblo Esperanza for Animal Kingdom, Monsters, Inc. land for Hollywood Studios, and even an Avatar land for Disneyland), Disney Cruise Line, and more, it’ll be interesting to see how attendance is impacted in the coming months and years.

3 — Disney+
Next, let’s go to streaming! Disney has announced that Disney+ had $127.8 million in revenue for Q3 2025, up from $126 million for Q3 2024. Disney also reported that there were currently 128 million Disney+ subscribers. Direct-to-consumer operating income for Q3 2025 is $346 million.

Just for the sake of comparison, in Q2, direct-to-consumer operating income was $336 million, and there was a total of 126 million Disney+ subscribers.
Disney has been working on all kinds of new projects for Disney+ and dropping new perks for subscribers. That might leave you thinking, “So when is my subscription price going to go up?” Well, the answer to that is “eventually.” Disney’s CFO has said the pricing will likely stay the same for a few months, but it will steadily increase over a period of years (rather than going through dramatic increases). Of course, that’s all subject to change, so we’ll have to see how things actually play out.

4 — ESPN
Next up, we’ll take a look at ESPN. For Q3 2025, Disney shared that sports streaming earned $4,308,000 in revenue, down from $4,558,000 from Q3 2024.

Again, looking at a comparison, in Q2, ESPN had $4.5 million in revenues and $669 million in operating income. ESPN is set to get some major updates in the form of a new ESPN streaming service app. It’s set to launch this fall. We’ll be watching for more updates on that.

What’s next for the Disney Company? Well, these earnings calls give us a good idea of what’s going on now, which can give us an idea of what Disney might want to do in the future. Attendance numbers, subscriber numbers, operating income, revenue, and more show us what’s doing well (and what’s not doing well) for Disney, and where they might want to invest more (or less!) of their money in the future. That could directly impact what you get to see on Disney+, your Disney+ subscription price, the cost of your next trip to a Disney theme park, and MORE.

There’s a lot of change coming, with a Disney theme park in Abu Dhabi, new cruise ships, and more on the horizon. We’ll be with you every step of the way, covering EVERYTHING you need to know — so stay tuned for more news!
