When Will 'Fantastic Four' Be on Disney+?

The Fantastic Four: The First Steps officially released in theaters on July 25th, but a lot of us are already wondering when it’ll be available on Disney+!

Going to the theater can be great, but it’s also pretty expensive, even if you go to a matinee! If you’re already paying for a Disney+ subscription, you may just plan to wait for the new film to come out to save some money, but just how long will that take? Based on our research, here’s what we’re thinking!

In order to make an educated guess, we studied two of Disney’s most recent releases earlier this year. For the live-action Snow White, the film released in theaters on March 21st. It was met with some pretty bad reviews, and we were curious if that would affect when it released on streaming. However, it still took about 2.5 months to release on Disney+, as it didn’t become available until June 11th.

However, Captain America: Brave New World was met with much better reviews after it released in theaters on February 14th, and then didn’t get released on Disney+ until May 28th. That’s about 3.5 months later, so just about a month longer than Snow White.

With that being said, reviews of Fantastic Four are coming out to be pretty positive so far, and with it being a large Marvel film, we have a feeling they’ll try to keep it in theaters for as long as possible. If we had to guess, we assume it’ll take approximately three months for the film to come out on Disney+, which would mean we’re expecting it to arrive sometime in late October or early November.
