Disney World CONFIRMS Gingerbread Displays Will Return for 2025

Who’s ready for the holiday season to start?!

Grand Floridian Christmas Tree

The holiday season in Disney World typically kicks off in early November and runs until the end of the year, and in 2025, it’s officially starting on November 14th. We already know that we’ll be able to visit Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, eat around the Festival of the Holidays, and enjoy the decorations in the parks, but you know what else is returning? The gingerbread displays!

Disney World has announced that the famous gingerbread displays at its resorts are returning in 2025. These displays are often found in the Deluxe Resort lobbies, and they showcase incredible artistry from the culinary teams.

Sadly, we know that the fan-favorite gingerbread cottage display will not be available at the Grand Floridian Resort in 2025 due to construction in the lobby. This life-size cottage is usually the pièce de résistance of the gingerbread lineup.

So what CAN we expect? Well, Disney hasn’t revealed the particulars, but in recent years we’ve seen large displays at both the Contemporary Resort and Beach Club (where there’s usually a gingerbread CAROUSEL!). We’ve also found gingerbread creations at BoardWalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and for one year each at Yacht Club and Wilderness Lodge.

We’ll be excited to see if Disney introduces any new displays this year in lieu of the Grand Floridian offering. In 2024, we also got a massive gingerbread model of Spaceship Earth at EPCOT!

It lights up.

We’ll be on the lookout for more holiday season news in Disney World!
