FULL REVIEW: We Tried the NEW Atlantic Restaurant in Celestial Park at Epic Universe

Epic Universe is an incredible new theme park in Orlando, and we’ve been trying all the food we can so you can make sure your first day in Epic is as perfect as possible.

Atlantic

We headed to Atlantic in Celestial Park, the area you see when you walk right into the park, and a full review is coming your way. There are a lot of food options at Epic Universe, but we’re here to help you figure out if it should be on your “must-do” or “save for next time” list. Let’s hop in and eat!

Background

When you first walk into Atlantic, you’ll notice how beautiful and open it is. There are rich blues all around the room, accented with gold.

Atlantic

It’s supposed to remind you of an enormous Victorian aquarium! When you look up, there are illuminated fish and starfish around the room. The restaurant overlooks the Neptune pool in Celestial, and you’ll feel the elegance swirling around you.

The bar

There’s also the Aquaria Bar, located in the middle of the restaurant, which is just as gorgeous.

Let’s talk about what you need to know to eat here.

Atmosphere

Atlantic is a full-service, sit-down restaurant in Celestial Park. You’ll want to book a reservation in advance, but some walk-up reservations may be available when you visit. You can make a reservation directly on the Universal Orlando website. You need the reservation for the tables, but you can walk up to the Aquaria Bar and ask about availability.

The menu

They serve many seafood dishes and stunning cocktails. This restaurant is fine dining and has dishes like scallops, lobster tail, as well as other non-seafood dishes, such as chicken breast and filet mignon. They have a kids’ menu with kid-friendly options.

Inside

Let’s dive into the food!

Food & Drinks

We started with the Sweet & Spicy Shrimp for $16.

The Shrimp

This appetizer has crispy shrimp, chili sauce, micro cilantro, and sesame seeds. Yum! The shrimp were cooked to perfection and were beautifully crispy. The chili sauce provided a great balance of sweet and spicy flavors. It brought a bit of heat, but nothing overwhelming, and we wish this plate were bigger because we loved it so much! If you’re planning on sharing, don’t be surprised if you love it so much that you want to keep it all for yourself.

Appetizer

We also had the Sea Bass for $44 as our entree.

A great entree

This is served with carrot mochi, sugar snap peas, lemongrass broth, and star fruit. The sea bass tasted fresh, which is exactly what we want to feel while gazing into the water. The broth was light, and the carrot mochi was a lot of fun. The star fruit added cute decoration but didn’t add too much to the flavors of the dish. Overall, the dish wasn’t incredibly flavorful, but it was cooked well and makes a great option for a light meal after a long day at the theme park.

We love the presentation

To finish off our meal, for dessert, we had the Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot for $11.

SO CUTE

Landlubber’s Snickerdoodle Loot is a snickerdoodle cake, cookie butter ganache, and biscoff sand. Look at how cute this is!

Dig in

We felt like little kids when we got this dish, and it tasted so good. The cake was fluffy, and the cookie butter was a fun addition.

And it was delicious, too!

For our drink, we had the Northern Lights Martini for $17.

A great choice

This drink is made with Beluga Noble Vodka, Pallini limoncello, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, lemon juice, simple syrup, butterfly pea blossom ice sphere, and gold luster dust. We know that sounds like a lot of ingredients, but wow, did this all come together. Besides being absolutely stunning, this drink felt the epitome of Celestial Park. The ice sphere resembles a globe and is covered in edible glitter, which gives it a luxurious feel. This drink was very refreshing. It’s not overly sweet and not overly bitter or dry, which we appreciated, but it was just so refreshing. It packed a punch, and we will definitely order it again (and do a whole photoshoot with it, because who could blame us?).

Our meal

Overall, we were very impressed with this restaurant. We loved all of the presentations and how knowledgeable the servers were about the dishes. Their excitement for the meals was contagious, and we’ll be back to try even more.

We also wanted to note how accommodating they were with food allergies. The server took great care of us, and the chef came out to clarify our needs. We felt safe eating here, but make sure to communicate all your allergies to the staff so they’re aware.
