NEWS: A NEW Nonstop Flight to Orlando Airport Is Coming This October!

Orlando International Airport (MCO) is adding a new direct flight, so you might want to take advantage of this new route.

A Spanish airline, Iberia, will launch a direct flight from Orlando Airport to Madrid, Spain, starting in October.

According to WFTV 9, they will have four direct flights a week on an A330 aircraft that can accommodate 254 passengers.

Iberia says, “We believe that Orlando can become the star destination for next Christmas.” Who wouldn’t want to celebrate Christmas at Disney World?

Both Orlando Airport, Iberia, and the Hispanic Chamber of Metro Orlando are excited to be “uniting economic, cultural, and opportunities between Central Florida and Spain.”

Orlando Airport recently appointed a new CEO who will take over in April and is already excited about new projects coming to the airport. The airport has also been working on an expansion to accommodate the growing traffic coming to Central Florida.

There’s also a train route being worked on to connect (hopefully) Orlando Airport, Disney World, and Universal! We’re so excited about this because it could make travel so much easier, and we wouldn’t have to worry about buses or rideshares.
