It can be hard to say goodbye to the Most Magical Place on Earth, but don’t forget these 5 things that can make it easier!

You might have a checklist to make sure you’re all set to check out of your Disney hotel. We know it can feel overwhelming. So, let’s talk about the policies that could make checking out of your Disney World hotel easier!
1. Bell Services
If you have some extra time before you’re ready to leave Disney World, Bell Services will hold your luggage for you. You simply go down to the front desk and request for them to hold them. They will give you a tag and you will return there to pick it up when you’re ready for them.

If you need to store something in a refrigerator for medical purposes, you can ask them if that is a possibility. We recently were able to do this, but just check with your hotel.

2. Airport Transportation
Although we said goodbye to Disney’s Magical Express bus service from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Disney Resorts in 2022, Mears Connect has filled that void for guests.

For a fee, you can book a shuttle service from the airport to your Disney World resort. Note that they will pick you up on your departure day 3 hours before your domestic flight or 4 hours before international flights. Keep that in mind when planning your checkout day.

3. Use Those Dining Credits
If you are utilizing the Disney Dining Plan, don’t leave those credits behind! Unused entitlements will NOT be refunded, so it’s important to use all of them to get your money’s worth.

If you have remaining snack credits and you don’t want to fill up on Mickey Ice Cream sandwiches, don’t worry. We suggest grabbing some of the prepackaged snacks that count as dining credits like the gummy candy, pretzels, cookies, and even bottled water. These are easy to take with you on your travels back home.

4. Skip the Front Desk
When you’re ready to check out, you don’t have to wait in line for the front desk. There are two ways you can check out and one is automatically. You’ll be checked out at 11 AM and Disney will send you an email with your itemized hotel account information.

You can also check out via the MyDisney App. On your scheduled checkout day, you’ll receive an app notification so just tap the notification to begin. Your balance should reflect any changes or payments from your stay.

5. Late Check Out
Not ready to leave the magic behind, quite yet? Before you check out, make sure to reach out to the Front Desk and talk to the Cast Member to request a late checkout beyond the normal 11 AM time. The Cast Members do their best to try to accommodate those requests but keep in mind that it’s not a guarantee, so be flexible and see what they can do for you.

We hope these policies help you have a smoother goodbye from your Disney World vacation. For more Disney information and news to help you, be sure to follow AllEars.net.
