The One Very Specific Reason We're Excited About the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays

Fall may have just officially started at Disney World, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t already excited about the winter holidays!

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will be kicking off at Magic Kingdom in early November and will bring plenty of festive fun to the parks. And, of course, we can’t wait for the Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT! Speaking of which, we noticed a pretty exciting update about this year’s festival.

This year’s EPCOT Festival of the Holidays runs from November 29th to December 30th and will no doubt be full of exciting eats, entertainment, shopping, and more. And, it looks like we’ll have even MORE time to check it all out this year.

We noticed on the Disney World website and on the My Disney Experience app that we’ll have an additional 30 minutes at EPCOT each day during the festival! These days, EPCOT closes at 9PM — but when the festival starts on November 29th, the park will stay open until 9:30PM.

As of now, we can only see hours through December 2nd so things could change after that — and if they do, we’ll let you know!

In 2023, the Festival featured the always-popular Holiday Kitchens and more. The Candlelight Processional is a guest favorite as well, and the International Storytellers from around World Showcase are a truly unique experience. We can’t wait to see what this year’s festival will bring!
