If you’re part of certain groups, you can get some serious perks in Disney World!
People like Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club (DVC) members can get perks like discounts on dining, merchandise, and occasionally, hotels. We’ve also seen other special offerings like lounges and freebies in the past! But now, there’s a NEW perk coming to Disney World.
Disney Vacation Club teased a new perk for members on Instagram! Coming this summer, there will be a limited-time offering for those visiting Disney World.
On the second slide of the post, some strategically placed clouds hide the announcement, but the top two words look to be “Welcome Home” which is the Disney Vacation Club slogan. Below that, there’s a word that ends in “ks” but we can’t quite make out what it is.
The caption says the following: “Summer is for everyone, but these limited time experiences are just for our Members. Any guesses as to what this event might be? Stay tuned for more details!” So it looks like we should expect some kind of event! We’ll be on the lookout for more updates to share with you.
We were left in limbo for a little while until Disney posted another teaser on Instagram! In this post, the first two letters of the word are uncovered, so it seems like the teaser is for something called “Welcome Home Weeks.”
As we mentioned above, currently Disney Vacation Club members can enjoy discounts on dining and merchandise. A Disney Vacation Club lounge is located in EPCOT — it’s typically in the Imagination Pavilion, but while that spot is being renovated it has been relocated to the Odyssey building.
Disney just recently announced as well that Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade is closing in Magic Kingdom to become a NEW Disney Vacation Club lounge. We’ll be interested to see what they do with that space!
On top of the new lounge, more DVC rooms are opening in Disney World this year. The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground are getting renovated and turning into a DVC property, and later this year, we’ll get the opening of the NEW DVC tower at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
