Only Disney World Experts Know Why This Saturday Is a HUGE Deal

This Saturday is a BIG deal in Disney World. Do you know why?

We’ll give you a hint — the date is November 18th. Ring any bells? It’s Mickey and Minnie’s birthday! While this is a special day for these characters, there is something else that goes on only at Disney World…and it involves hidden Mickeys!

Hidden Mickeys are nearly everywhere in Disney World, but there is an extra rare one hiding in Disney World.

On November 18th each year, a hidden Mickey appears in the queue for Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid in Magic Kingdom. That’s right, this hidden Mickey is so rare you can only see it ONCE every year. And not only that, you’ve got to time your visit to this queue perfectly too!

You can see the hidden Mickey around noon, provided it’s a sunny day and there aren’t clouds or other things obstructing it. We’ve tried to see it on cloudy days before (when it unfortunately didn’t appear), but last year we were able to see it!

Once you get past the fully outdoor portion of the queue, you need to get underneath the rocky ceiling and search for a shape in the rocks above that looks like Mickey’s head. Around noon, the Mickey shape will hit the ground/wall near it.
