Let’s set sail on the Disney Treasure with Minnie!

We’ve learned about many great new experiences coming to Disney’s newest cruise ship including a Jungle Cruise-themed lounge, a Coco restaurant, a Moana show, and many others! The ship will include Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, and Pixar-themed spaces. And, most recently announced, a Haunted Mansion bar! Now, let’s check out what will be waiting for us inside this spooky parlor.

The Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Treasure will be the first lounge in the world themed for the Haunted Mansion. You can join the 999 happy haunts from all the theme parks around the globe as they come together to welcome you into this spooky bar.

Up to this point, we have only heard about this new bar and seen the concept art. In a media event, where we learned all about this new adult location, Disney mentioned there would be portraits on the walls and now thanks to Disney’s Imagineers, we have a first look at what we can expect from those portraits — because Disney would have anything but ordinary portraits.

The story behind the new parlor is that a Captain had a “disastrous dinner with his beloved fiancé” and he is now your Ghost Host. Naturally, one of the portraits in the bar is of him.

But as with anything Disney Imagineers do, there’s a bit of magic.

The portrait flickers and momentarily shows the subject in a more “deathly” state. You can see the cool effect in the Instagram post below!

Everything about this new bar sounds like ghostly fun. You’ll even be able to get pictures with the creepy Donald Duck chair! We can’t wait to fully experience this new Haunted Mansion bar, but until then we’ll just watch the new movie on repeat.
