Disney World’s skip-the-line offering is called Genie+, and it’s a bit of a complicated service.

You can learn all about it on our full resource page, but I went to the park to answer the biggest question we get about Genie+ — does it work the same whether you’re alone or in a big group? We also learned some other tips along the way!
To learn more about using Genie+ as a group, check out our YouTube video right here!
But now, let’s talk about two tips that can make your Disney day a lot easier when traveling as a group!
1. Have a list of priorities!
The first tip is to have a list of priorities in advance. When going to Disney World as a group, whether family or friends, everyone is going to have different ideas of what a perfect park day looks like.

The biggest way to help with this is to come up with a priority list in advance. Have everyone list their top three must dos and make those the main priority during the day, so that everyone gets to do something that they want to. Then, if you have more time, you can go on to some other things you want to do but that might not be a must.

And if there are ever too many things to do, don’t be afraid to split up if you have at least two adults!
2. Have a Genie+ captain.
When it comes to using Genie+ as a group, designate one person who is in charge of booking Lightning Lanes (or take shifts!). This makes it a lot easier for someone to be on top of booking Lightning Lanes and helping to make the decisions.

I was the Genie+ captain for my group, and the day went swimmingly! When it was time to book a new Lightning Lane, it was easy for me to present the best options so the conversations didn’t take up a ton of time.

Overall, the key to having a good trip with your family and friends is to focus on making good memories together and hopefully these tips help you to do so!
