Everything Confirmed for the 2023 Holiday Season in Disneyland — Should We Book a Trip?

It’s that time of summer when we try to forget about the sticky heat and humidity and start thinking ahead to the holiday season.

We’re ready to trade hot weather for sweaters and hot cocoa, festive decorations, and all that amazing holiday food. Disneyland recently confirmed everything returning for its holiday season, and all we can say is that we’re ready to book a trip to California right now.

First up, you’ll be able to enjoy some delicious food, enjoy some joyous entertainment, and more at this year’s Festival of the Holidays at Disney California Adventure.  You’ll also want to get ready to eat at the Festive Foods Marketplace.

Disney ¡Viva Navidad! will also return this year to California Adventure. In the past, this was a celebration that included a street party with live musicians, folklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, drummers, and 12-foot-tall mojiganga puppets of Santa and Mrs. Claus.

You’ll also be able to commemorate Three Kings Day at California Adventure with a special celebration that honors the three Wise Men’s visit to the Nativity.

World of Color will get a special holiday version called World of Color — Season of Light.

Mater’s Junkyard in Cars Land will get a holiday makeover, turning his ride into Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, while Luigi’s Rollickin Roadsters becomes Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.

Over in Disneyland, the Christmas Fantasy Parade will return, featuring your favorite Disney characters in their holiday outfits, festive music, and loads of holiday cheer. Disneyland’s nighttime holiday show, Believe…In Holiday Magic will also return, and yes, there will be “snow.”

Sleeping Beauty Castle will get a holiday glow-up — it will be topped with snow and transformed into an icy magical castle worthy of Elsa.

We’ll also see the return of  it’s a small world holiday” that transforms this classic Disney ride into a holiday wonderland.

Finally, holiday decorations will return all around Disneyland — and we can’t wait to see the park all decked out for the season again.
