Planning a trip to Disneyland can be exciting and overwhelming!

From learning how to use Genie + to learning the layout of the parks, it can be stressful. A major part of planning is also figuring out outfit choices for yourself and your travel party. From outfits inspired by your favorite Disney characters to cozy must-haves for the park, packing for your trip is an important part. We’re here to help you plan for your next Disneyland trip!
We’re going to walk you through the entire year and what the weather looks like each month to help you plan your outfits better. While most people think of California as sunny, there are cooler months. In Spring and Autumn, there could be cooler mornings and evenings while it warms up during the day. Let’s take a look!

Winter (November-January)
If you’re visiting in the Winter, from November to January, prepare to wear layers. A light jacket or hoodie, jeans/pants, and a few pairs of shorts. This item you might miss packing, but a bathing suit is also needed because many of the pools are heated! T-shirts and some long-sleeve shirts are good options.

Be sure to check the weather before your trip because it could vary. It also depends on where you are traveling from and what you think of as warm/cold. If someone is traveling from somewhere that is currently 92 degrees, they might be more sensitive to being cold. And we all know those people who insist it isn’t cold outside when it’s 40 degrees and raining!

Here are what the average lows and highs are during those winter months at Disneyland:
- November’s average high is around 73 degrees Farenheit; the average low is around 53
- December’s average high is around 70; the average low is around 48
- January’s average high is around 70; the average low is around 48

Of course, think about what special holidays or celebrations are happening at the time of your visit. Will you be there around the holiday season? You might want to pack a Mickey Holiday Sweatshirt or a Santa hat to join in the fun. If you’re visiting for New Year’s Eve, don’t forget those light-up necklaces!

What To Wear to Disneyland in January
Spring (February-April)
If you are visiting in the Spring, which is from February to April, you can plan to pack most of the same attire because the weather doesn’t deviate too much. While it can get chilly at night, you can pack a sweatshirt or jacket to throw on.

Here are what the average lows and highs are during the spring months at Disneyland:
- February’s average high is around 71 degrees Farenheit; the average low is around 49
- March’s average high is around 73; the average low is around 51
- April’s average high is around 75; the average low is around 53

Summer (May-July)
Summer is definitely warmer, but we still recommend a pair of pants/jeans and a long-sleeve shirt, in case you get a chill in the evenings. You’ll save quite a bit of luggage space by packing mostly t-shirts, shorts, and even skirts or dresses. This means more room in your luggage to bring home souvenirs!

Here are what the average lows and highs are during the summer months at Disneyland:
- May’s average high is around 77 degrees Farenheit; the average low is around 58
- June’s average high is around 81; the average low is around 61
- July’s average high is around 86; the average low is around 65

Of course, pack your bathing suit and flip-flops for those warm pool days! If you’re coming for Memorial Day or July 4th, you might want to bring your patriotic gear like this patriotic Loungefly.

Fall (August-October)
Fall keeps that summer heat and it really doesn’t start cooling off until November. So consider “fall” more like “second-summer”. That means be sure to pack those shorts and t-shirts.

Here are what the average lows and highs are during the fall months at Disneyland:
- August’s average high is around 87 degrees Farenheit; the average low is around 65
- September’s average high is around 87; the average low is around 63
- October’s average high is around 82; the average low is around 59

If you’re going around Halloween, you might want to add some spooky pieces to your luggage. Don’t forget to dress for the season if you are going to the Oogie Boogie Bash!

We hope this guide can make your packing list easier for your next Disneyland trip. It’s helpful to think about the weather in terms of what you feel is hot or cold. Don’t forget to see if there are any special evening events going on as well that you could dress up for! For more Disneyland tips and tricks, be sure to follow us at AllEars.Net.
