We’re only a few months into the year, and it has been a BUSY time for Disney World!

February was filled with heavy crowds in the parks due to runDisney races and various holidays. On top of that, Disney World also had quite a few changes, updates, and big announcements. So as we head into March, we’re rounding up a list of the HUGE things that happened last month so you’ll be up-to-date on all the news!
Housekeeping Has Returned
Let’s start with an update that’s a big bonus for anyone staying in a Disney World hotel — full housekeeping services were set to return by the end of February to all the Disney Resorts. Some resorts had been offering limited housekeeping for a while, but now it’s back everywhere!

If you’ve got a trip coming up soon, this is a great benefit to have in your hotel room!
Enchanted Tales With Belle is Back!
Since the pandemic, Enchanted Tales With Belle had been closed, but now the attraction is back open in Magic Kingdom! This show/experience takes guests into the story of Beauty and the Beast, and some guests are even given parts to play in the show.

At the end, Belle comes out to visit, and those who played parts in the show can take photos with her. It’s a really cool experience for little ones and adults alike, and now it’s back every day in the park!
Cinderella’s Royal Table
If you’re a fan of character meals, then you’ll be happy to hear that the princesses are FINALLY back at Cinderella’s Royal Table! Since the pandemic, this meal has only offered the opportunity to see Cinderella, but now the princesses have returned.

And like before, they’ll come around to your table and take photos, sign autographs, and give hugs. It’s the ultimate princess dining experience!
Festival of the Arts Ended
Throughout January and February, EPCOT hosted the International Festival of the Arts! This festival ended officially on February 20th, making it one of Disney World’s shorter food festivals.

But don’t worry — the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival runs through March 1st and runs until July 5th. That’s four months of festival fun!
Reedy Creek Improvement District News
In major Disney World news, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has officially signed the bill that will CHANGE key parts of the Reedy Creek Improvement District (Disney World’s local government). Previously, board members for this district were appointed by Disney, but now those people will be replaced by members entirely selected by Governor DeSantis and confirmed by the Florida Senate.

Due to this bill, the RCID now has a new name — The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. Note, however, that the District will still have two years to continue doing business under the RCID name so they can make changes to legal and financial documents among other things.

So there you go — those are some of the biggest things that happened in Disney World in February. There’s a lot of excitement coming up in March and we’re expecting even more changes, so stay tuned to AllEars for the latest!
