One Disney executive is becoming more involved with a longstanding foundation.

Make-A-Wish America has been a long-time partner with the Disney Parks in helping to fulfill wishes from children that are critically ill and their families. At their latest board meeting, a Disney executive was added to the board.
Make-A-Wish is an inspirational philanthropy organization that helps grant the wishes of ill children. Founded in Phoenix, Arizona, it is a nationally renowned non-profit that operates in all 50 US states and internationally. The Make-A-Wish foundation is made up of volunteers, donors, and staff that come together to bring joy and comfort to children with critical illnesses. Through their support, they give these kids hope in what tends to be a difficult time for them. The Make-A-Wish foundation believes in the power of granting wishes. They understand that wish experiences can potentially boost emotional and physical health, so they strive to bring this power of wishing to as many children as possible.

Following the National Board meeting on February 3rd, Make-A-Wish America officially welcomed Josh D’Amaro (Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products) to its National Board of Directors, according to PRNewswire.

The national board members come from a wide range of backgrounds and boast various skillsets, enabling them to provide valuable assistance in mission-critical areas like HR, finance, fundraising, management, marketing and operations. Through the help of highly skilled and knowledgeable business professionals, Make-A-Wish is taking steps closer to granting the wish of every eligible child.

Make-A-Wish boasts 58 chapters across the United States, each with its own board of directors. In addition to this, they also have a single national board that oversees all their operations, which is the board D’Amaro joined.
