Everything You Need To Know About Disney Cruise Line's COVID-19 Policy

Since Disney Cruise Line resumed sailings in 2021, health and safety policies have continued to evolve and change.

Over the past few months, Disney Cruise Line has dropped its vaccination requirement, as well as its requirement for a negative COVID-19 test pre-cruise. So what exactly is the policy now? Let’s take a look.

Mask Policy

Although masks were required in all public areas on Disney Cruise ships when cruises resumed in 2021, this is no longer the case.

Guests do not have to wear a mask at any point on their cruise unless they choose to do so.

Vaccinations Requirements

Disney Cruise Line no longer requires guests to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

However, as previously mentioned, Disney Cruise Line does highly recommend that guests get vaccinated against COVID-19.

COVID-19 Testing Requirements

Disney Cruise Line guests on sailings departing from the U.S. no longer need to require proof of a negative COVID-19 test prior to sailing, regardless of their vaccination status.

However, Disney Cruise Line still recommends that guests be fully vaccinated and suggests that unvaccinated guests take a COVID-19 test two days before their sailing.

Assembly Drills

In-person assembly drills are currently being reintroduced in a phased approach to all Disney cruise ships. This means that every guest on a Disney Cruise will be required to report to their assigned assembly station in person at the scheduled time on their embarkation day.

Previously, these drills were held at staggered times to keep guest levels from becoming too crowded. However, that has changed.

International Sailings

Note that international sailings may have different requirements, based on what that country specifically requires for guests.

These requirements could also change at any given time.

Temporary Cancellation Policy

Disney Cruise Line’s temporary cancellation policy is valid for sailings through March 31st, 2023. Here’s that policy:
