NEWS: Price INCREASE for Genie+ at Disneyland Resort

Genie+ was introduced in the Disney Parks last year as Disney’s new skip-the-line service.

This was considered a controversy to many Disney fans because the previous service (FastPass) was included with park admission. But now, guests have to pay for Genie+ if they want to skip the lines at any Disney attraction and there was recently a price increase for the service at Disneyland Resort.

This morning we noticed that Genie+ at Disneyland increased the price from $20 to $25. This price is per person per day.

Disney also notes next to the increase that “prices vary by date” so the price could change at any time. Based on what Disney has announced, $25 is the new starting price point and it will only go up from there depending on the day.

We will continue to look for price changes on Genie+.

We have not seen a price increase for the Individual Lightning Lanes. These are purchased separately from Genie+ and allow you to skip the line at that one individual ride. Popular rides like Rise of the Resistance and Radiator Springs Racers are available as individual purchases.

There has been one shakeup with Individual Lightning Lanes — WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure is now included with Genie+. Previously the new Avengers Campus ride was available for purchase separately from Genie+, but now you’ll be able to grab a Lightning Lane for it via Genie+.
