Walt Disney World
TRON: Lightcycle Run
We’ve been seeing a TON of progress happening over at TRON: Lightcycle Run in Magic Kingdom, and it looks like that hard work is paying off, as this attraction will be opening in Spring 2023.

In typical Disney fashion, an official opening date has not yet been announced, but at least we now have a general idea of when we might be able to experience this attraction!

Happily Ever After
Many Disney fans were devastated when we said goodbye to Happily Ever After, the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. So when it was announced that the show would be returning sometime in 2023, we couldn’t believe it!

For now, all we know is that the theme song will be returning as part of “an updated spectacular” in Magic Kingdom, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates.

Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana
We finally have an opening timeline for the new Moana attraction that’s currently under construction in EPCOT.

Disney shared that we can expect to experience this water-based, immersive, walk-through attraction in late 2023. We’ll have to wait a bit longer to hear an official opening date for this new EPCOT feature as well.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Not only did we get to see an incredibly detailed model of what the reimagined Splash Mountain will look like when it transforms into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but we were told yet again that we could expect the attraction to open on both coasts sometime in 2024.

An official closing date for Splash Mountain hasn’t been announced yet, so stay tuned to find out when you’ll be able to ride it for the last time.

The Walt Disney Company will be celebrating it’s 100th Anniversary in 2023, and as part of that — a NEW nighttime show will be coming to EPCOT!

All we know now is that the show will premiere sometime in 2023 and will continue “the park’s legacy of inspiring nighttime entertainment on World Showcase Lagoon.” We’ll keep an eye out for more details on this new show!

Figment Meet and Greet
Fans of classic EPCOT will be happy to hear that a very special meet and greet is returning to the park!

That’s right, guests will be able to meet Figment once again in EPCOT. He used to do meet and greets, but we haven’t seen him in quite a while. We can expect his return in late 2023.

Eudora’s Chic Boutique
As part of the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure announcements that took place during the D23 Expo, we also learned that over in Disneyland, in addition to the Splash Mountain retheme, a NEW store will be opening as well!

And, it’ll be happening much sooner than we thought — as Eudora’s Chic Boutique will be opening in New Orleans Square on September 20th, 2022! Not only that, but Tiana’s Palace, a new restaurant, will also be coming — we’re just not sure when yet.

Mandalorian and Grogu Meet and Greet
Heads up, Star Wars fans! Two new characters are coming to Galaxy’s Edge to meet and greet guests — the Mandalorian and Baby Yoda himself, Grogu!

Guests can expect to see these two in person, chatting it up and interacting later this year in November. Stay tuned for an official start date!
Hulk Meet and Greet
But, these two aren’t the only new characters coming to Disneyland Resort, as the Incredible Hulk will be meeting and greeting guests in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure beginning later this September — next week!

Not only that, but he’ll be dressed in his time-traveling suit from Avengers: Endgame. This isn’t just a regular meet and greet, as it will utilize a robotic exoskeleton to create the Hulk’s large figure.

We got to see more concept art for the reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown, and can’t wait for it to finally open in early 2023. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Cafe Daisy, and the El CapiTOON Theatre are calling our names already.
