What’s going on in Disney World? Well, a LOT of things!

We’re in the middle of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, many hotels are getting updates, and things are slowly returning to “normal.” On top of that, there are a bunch of construction projects happening, and we’ve got updates on all of the major ones!
Magic Kingdom
Once again, we’re taking a look at the construction progress on the TRON coaster! This week more work was done on the pathway leading up to the ride building, and there were a LOT of construction materials in sight. At the same time, work continues on the Walt Disney World Railroad tunnel next to the ride.

Toward the front of the park, Center Street is still under construction as Disney works to replace the bricks. This week, the bricks in the middle of the road were removed in preparation for new ones to be laid.

We can’t wait for the opening of the TRON coaster and the reopening of the Walt Disney World Railroad. So many projects to look forward to!

EPCOT
The Mitsukoshi Department Store in the Japan Pavilion is still under construction. The area where the pick-a-pearl experience was located is blocked off with black tarps as it has been for some time. As usual, the store remains in operation and there’s still plenty of merchandise to check out!

Inside the Odyssey Pavilion, we noticed something new this week — a stage! It appears to have been set up for entertainment purposes during the Food & Wine Festival. We’ll keep an eye out for any updates on that.

And of course, we have to mention the progress on Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana! A BUNCH of new rock structures were added recently, and scaffolding remains in place as more theming touches are added.

We can’t wait to check out this new walk-through attraction whenever it opens!

Disney Resorts
And finally, there was some construction happening on the geyser/fountain inside the lobby of Wilderness Lodge. The water was turned off, but there weren’t any construction walls up when we last checked.

That’s all the construction progress that we noticed in the parks and resorts this week! We’ll be keeping a close eye for more news, especially on the upcoming TRON coaster and the ongoing EPCOT transformation.
