PHOTOS: The Subtle Way Disney World is Celebrating Memorial Day

It might feel like we were just celebrating New Year’s Day in Disney World, but we’ve already made it to Memorial Day Weekend!

And, you know what that means? The summer season has officially started in Disney World and the crowds are already rolling in. But, instead of looking at all the heads that were headed into Magic Kingdom today, we looked up as we made our way down Main Street, U.S.A., and noticed that there were some extra decorations up for the holiday!

When we arrived in Magic Kingdom this morning, we noticed a little more red, white, and blue adorning some of the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A. 

While American Flags are usually topping the buildings (which are actually fake!), there were some extra decorative Memorial Day banners on many of the buildings.

So if you happen to be visiting Disney World over the three-day weekend, your entrance to Magic Kingdom will be just a little more patriotic. And, if you’d like to do a little something extra to observe Memorial Day, don’t miss Magic Kingdom’s Flag Retreat Ceremony that happens every day at 5PM.
