Disney World’s health and safety guidelines have changed a lot over the past two years in response to the global health crisis.

Although Disney World recently relaxed its indoor mask policy for vaccinated guests, one thing that did not change from its previous policy is the requirement that guests still wear face coverings on Disney World transportation. That includes on Disney buses, on the Skyliner, and the Monorail.
It seems that some guests are still confused about the new policy, though — we’ve previously seen guests on the Monorail without masks on since the latest mask change. Right now, there are significant crowds at Disney World, as we noticed when we arrived at the Transportation and Ticket Center this morning.

Some guests were already masked on their way to the monorail station for Magic Kingdom, while others weren’t.

However, Cast Members were handing out masks at the station as a reminder that all guests must wear a mask while riding the Monorail, as well as other transportation.

So keep that in mind if you’re headed to Disney World soon — you’ll still need to bring a mask if you plan on riding on Disney transportation. However, masks are now optional for vaccinated guests indoors and optional for all guests outdoors.
We’ll let you know if these policies change, so stay tuned for updates.
