Southern California is currently in the middle of a three week-long stay-at-home order, which restricts dining to take out or delivery only and limits indoor retail capacity to 20%. As a result, Downtown Disney has had to close the majority of their dining locations, leaving guests to only being able to shop or purchase packaged food to bring home.

We noticed today that the shopping and dining district, which now includes Buena Vista Street, made a major update to its operational calendar.
Downtown Disney will be closed on Christmas Day. The calendar on Disneyland’s website as well as on the Disneyland app currently reflects this update. We also spoke with a Cast Member today who confirmed with us that Downtown Disney will not be open on Friday, December 25th.

In addition, Downtown Disney will have slightly shorter hours on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Their regular operating hours are from 9AM-9PM daily, but on these two days, the district will close at 8PM.

We will continue to keep an eye on Downtown Disney as Southern California continues its stay-at-home order. The regional order is set to last until December 28th.
