Although Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe has been delayed, guests heading to Universal Studios Japan in the next few months will be in for a surprise!

The Japanese theme park will be open its Super Nintendo World on February 4th, 2021 for guests to step inside their favorite video game! And, we’ve go a look at the attractions and experiences you can expect when you go!

We’ve all had game nights involving a few rounds of Mario Kart where we’ve put the pedal to the metal to win! And, now you’ll actually be able to hop in a Mario Kart vehicle in real life to see if you have what it takes to be number one. When Mario Kart: Koopa’s Challenge debuts, guests of all ages will be able to race through Bowser’s Castle on the world’s first interactive Mario Kart attraction!

Just around the corner, your younger kiddos will LOVE Yoshi’s Adventure as you use the Captain’s map to find 3 mysterious eggs and discover where Captain Toad has been hidden away! Plus, those ride vehicles are just so adorable, we want to drive one around all the time.

Guests will also be able to pick up Power Up Bands, where you can experience key challenges, collect virtual coins and items, and participate in more experiences!

The bands will connect to your smart phone so it feels like you’re playing Super Mario games in person, like helping Peach find the Golden Mushroom taken by Bowser Jr.

We are already blown away by the attention to detail in the new land coming to Universal Studios Japan! And, you can take a look at the AMAZING atmosphere before it opens in February below!

While we hope that some of these details appear in Epic Universe in Universal Orlando too, we’ll keep you updated on all the Super Nintendo World experiences coming soon!
