Florida attractions have slowly begun to reopen, or propose dates of reopening.
Universal CityWalk, Disney Springs, Madame Tussauds, and more have already welcomed visitors back, while Gatorland and Fun Spot America have plans to reopen soon. And now, another lego-filled park is about to join the list of reopening attractions.
Legoland in Winter Haven, Florida has received local permission to reopen on June 1st according to WESH 2 News!

The Winter Haven City Commission is allowing the attraction to open under the new health and safety guidelines that Legoland General Manager Rex Jackson laid out for them. The park would have a maximum capacity of 50% (or 6,000 people) during its phased re-opening and recommend that guests wear a face mask. Legoland will also provide coverings for guests who don’t have masks. The park will also prevent guests who have a fever of 100.4 degrees or higher from visiting the park.

The reopening plan still needs to be approved by the state, but Governor Ron DeSantis has been an advocate for theme parks welcoming guests again recently. In order to get approved for reopening, DeSantis has stated that theme parks “have to provide how they are going to do it, how they’re going to accommodate the guests, how they’re going to protect the staff and then they need to have an endorsement from the local official in their locality.”
