Disney Is Completely CHANGING A Popular Dining Spot

We are in the middle of a major transformation period at Disneyland Paris!

Disney Adventure World opened a month ago, bringing Disneyland Paris a newly reimagined park. On top of that, a popular hotel is getting a massive renovation. Well, the changes aren’t stopping there, because Disney just revealed new details on big updates coming to the Plaza Gardens Restaurant!

Disney just announced that this month “marks the beginning of a new chapter for Plaza Gardens Restaurant.” The dining spot closed its doors for construction that will continue until early 2027. It’s a lengthy renovation that Disney hopes to completely “refresh the guest experience while preserving the charm of this iconic Victorian restaurant on Main Street.”

The Plaza Gardens Restaurant offers one of the most elegant dining experiences at Disneyland Paris, and it’s getting an upgrade. The restaurant will undergo a full renovation, which includes a complete overhaul of the flooring, facades, and roofing. The spot will get a refreshed colour palette for the exterior facade and interior spaces, creating a “new Victorian spirit that retains its classic style whilst elevating the guest experience.”

“As this renovation spans a considerable length of time, we are committed to creating changes that are visible to guests without betraying the original story of Plaza Gardens Restaurant,” explains Principal Show Designer at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Stéphanie Bohnhoff. “To further root the restaurant in a lush, verdant atmosphere connected to the gardens outside, we have selected new shades of green celebrating the different seasons.”

The transformation will deliver beautifully renovated interiors, featuring vibrant colours and carefully chosen materials, highlighting the restaurant’s unique elegance. Some of the details Disney has shared were that there will be a new pastel green tiling that will complement the new dark green carpet with floral motifs. As well as the new layout in the dining room, accommodating 291 chairs and 40 banquettes, completely redesigned for the comfort of guests.

The buffet area will get decorated with themed carved wooden elements and layout changes. Disney said this would include a lower-height buffet adapted for children and new furniture for breakfast. On top of that, the lighting across the restaurant will be fully refurbished to “restore the lustre of bronze and brass metalwork, and modernised with LED technology to ensure a warm and sustainable ambience throughout the restaurant.”

Disney stated that every detail, “right down to the carefully restored stained-glass canopies and repositioned decorative accessories, has been thoughtfully considered to preserve the soul of Plaza Gardens Restaurant.”  The dining spot will reopen its doors in 2027, giving guests a completely new dining experience.
