Universal’s New Texas Theme Park Is One Step Closer To Opening

Although we hadn’t really heard much lately about Universal’s new Texas theme park, Universal Kids Resort, we’ve seen some updates this past week, which include getting a new look at some of the rides the park will have.

Now, the theme park doesn’t have an official opening date yet, but it does seem like it could be opening soon, thanks to a new audition notice posted for performers for the park.

According to WFAA, Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, recently announced that it was hiring and holding auditions for open positions at the new park. Universal is holding virtual auditions for actors, costumed characters, and performers. If you’re interested in auditioning, you must be 18 years or older and submit this form. Callbacks will be held from 10 AM to 5 PM on March 9th and 11th.

That’s not all, though. Universal is also looking for hourly workers ages 16 and up to fill a variety of other positions at the new theme park. Interested in applying? You can do so here.

Universal Kids Resort will be a theme park targeted at families with children and will include seven themed areas inspired by Shrek, Minions, SpongeBob SquarePants, Jurassic World, Trolls, Puss in Boots, and Gabby’s Dollhouse. Activities and rides will all be family-friendly, and will include a kids’ Jurassic Park-themed coaster, as well as Spongebob-themed family-friendly spinning attraction.

This will be a first-of-its-kind theme park for Universal, and it’s expected to open later this year, maybe sooner than later, considering the park is already looking to hire performers and other team members. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more updates, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
