Disney's Big Avengers Campus Expansion Takes Another Step Forward

Disneyland has a LOT going on right now, and we’re not even talking about the 70th Anniversary Celebration. A lot of new things are planned for the parks, including an Avatar-themed land and a new Coco ride.

However, one of the most exciting additions coming to Disneyland might just be the Avengers Campus expansion in Disney California Adventure, which will double the size of the land and include two new rides. Well, we’ve got a big update on that expansion.

Avengers Campus construction is well underway. The expansion will include two new rides, including Avengers Infinity Defense, a dark ride that will have visitors jumping through multiple universes to stop King Thanos from destroying everything. Disney is also building Stark Flight Lab, which will let visitors take a simulated Iron Man-like flight.

We recently visited Avengers Campus to see how construction is going behind the construction walls in the land. Construction on the canopy that Imagineers are building to connect the two new attractions is well underway.

You can see the structure taking shape with cranes on the scene.

Disneyland also recently shared that Disneyland Cast Members have all signed a steel beam that will soon become a part of the expansion.

This includes Thomas Mazloum, the current president of Disneyland Resort.

The beam signing is a long-held Disneyland tradition. Usually, the beam is the one located at the highest point of a building or structure. Cast Members sign their names and add messages to the beam before it’s added to the structure. Therefore, the Cast Members become part of Disneyland history.

Disney has not yet revealed an opening timeline for the expansion or the two new rides it will bring, but we’ll be keeping an eye on construction progress and will keep you updated. So please check back with AllEars again soon for more.
