February is here, and Disneyland is adding a few more celebrations to its existing 70th Anniversary Celebration that’s happening through August.

First, we’ve got Celebrate Soulfully, which celebrates black heritage, culture, and food. Then there’s also Valentine’s Day, which is coming up soon. Both celebrations bring new food and drinks to the resort, including three treats we just recently tried (spoiler alert: you’ll want all three).
We’re starting with a special Celebrate Soulfully meal at Tiana’s Palace. The French Quarter Fried Chicken Bowl is made with Spicy Honey-glazed Fried Chicken served with Baked Macaroni and Cheese and Collard Greens for $17.99. Now, this is a nice and hearty meal with juicy, well-breaded chicken with a delicious spicy honey glaze that brings just a little heat.

Then you’ve got a very creamy and cheesy macaroni and cheese, as well as some flavorful collard greens. We just have one request: Disney, please add this to the permanent menu.

Then it was time for dessert, so we made our way to The Tropical Hideaway for the DOLE Whip Strawberry Sundae with Fresh Diced Strawberries, Shortcake, and Strawberry Drizzle for $9.29. This was SO good, and we loved the tartness of the DOLE Whip with the strawberry flavors. Warning: there is a LOT of strawberry drizzle, and it kind of reminded us of strawberry jelly.

The strawberry shortcake on top was also nice and added a great alternative texture to the creaminess of the DOLE Whip. We will say that we’ve had several DOLE Whip sundaes here that we liked better, but it’s still a solid treat.

We’ve got one more Valentine’s Day treat to tell you about. You’ll find the Valentine-themed Alien Macaron at Alien Pizza Planet for $8.79. It’s two green alien heart eyes macaron shells filled with vanilla buttercream and berry chesecake with a pink chocolate-dipped antenna. We’ll just tell you this might be the best version of the alien macaron we’ve had yet.

The berry cheesecake is both tart and sweet, and the vanilla buttercream just adds another layer of sweetness that balances out the other flavors. The macaron is also well done, with a nice crispiness and chewy texture once you bite into it.

Overall, we’re pretty impressed with these seasonal snacks so far. They won’t be around long, though, so you’ll want to grab them as soon as you can. We’ll also keep an eye out for more special food and drinks in Disneyland, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
