Deadline just confirmed a long-rumored shakeup. Kathleen Kennedy is officially stepping down as President of Lucasfilm this week, but will be a producer on the studio’s next two films. Two familiar faces are taking over the leadership of Lucasfilm.

Dave Filoni was just named President/Chief Creative Officer after previously holding the position of Lucasfilm EVP and Chief Creative Officer.

That’s not all — Lynwen Brennan will be the new Co-President. She has been the longtime President & GM of Lucasfilm Business, so it will be interesting to see how she tackles this new role.

Filoni and Brennan bring years of expertise to these new titles. The duo has worked closely with Kennedy since she accepted the job from George Lucas in 2012, just before Lucasfilm was acquired by Disney. This swap has been brewing for around two years, since Kennedy and Disney hoped to make this an easy transition.
