Well, Disney is making dreams come true because Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is now open earlier!
The popular bar, which features special effects and zany antics, will now open at 11 AM. No more waiting around until 3 PM to grab a drink. However, you will still likely want to plan ahead and be prepared for a wait. This bar is very popular, and you might need a bit of patience to get a seat.
You can find Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, off the lobby on the main level. It is popular for good reason, and a trip to Trader Sam’s is always an experience. Trader Sam, the famous Head Salesman on the Jungle Cruise, owns the bar. Inside Trader Sam’s, you will find artifacts from his travels around the world.
Depending on the drink you order, you will see a variety of special effects and interactive elements throughout the bar. Plus, the bartenders also participate in the antics! It is a lively and fun atmosphere, and we always leave with a big smile on our faces. You can also grab small bites like the Thai Chicken Flatbread or Pan-fried Dumplings.
With the recent change in hours, you can now enjoy Trader Sam’s from 11 AM until 12 AM. Of course, always check the hours in the My Disney Experience app before you make the trip over. Hours can change, and we don’t want you to be disappointed.
