It’s official! Zootopia fever has taken over Disney’s Animal Kingdom. We previously got a chance to check out the new Zootopia: Better Zoogether attraction ahead of its opening (and we even got to meet Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps). But now, the attraction is open for everyone.

So let’s take a look at what things in Animal Kingdom look like today. Let’s head over and check the newly opened Zootopia: Better Zoogether.
So the first thing we noticed when we arrived in Animal Kingdom were the crowds. We haven’t seen this many people around Discovery Island in AGES. Actually, we haven’t seen this many people in Animal Kingdom in a while.

There was even a LINE for the new attraction, which is inside the Tree of Life. The line extended well past the tree. We saw a wait of about 15 minutes, but we saw that wait go up to 40 minutes at one point, so yes, this is the popular attraction in Animal Kingdom right now.

The Nick and Judy meet-and-greet is also currently open. Right now, you have to check in with a Cast Member and give them some details for a virtual line. You’ll get a text message when it’s time to come back and stand in the physical line. We were called back about an hour after we initially signed up for the virtual queue, and then we waited another 40 minutes to see Nick and Judy.

Animal Kingdom also has a new park map.

The new map has the new show added to it (and has removed the dining spots that recently closed in DinoLand, U.S.A.)

So if you’re in Animal Kingdom today, you might notice that things are a little busier than normal. But you’ll definitely want to catch the new show (and you shouldn’t have to wait TOO long to see it). Also, be sure to take time to enjoy the new holiday decorations that were just added — these are some of the best decorations in Disney World.
