Bob Iger Is Sharing Reflections On His Time At The Walt Disney Company Ahead Of 2026 Exit

If you don’t know, Bob Iger is incredibly famous in the world of Disney. He’s the current CEO of the Walt Disney Company, although that term is ending soon.

Iger has had an interesting tenure at the company, serving as the CEO from 2005 to 2020 before coming back in 2022. After so many years at the helm of the company, it’s known that Iger has some seriously special insight and knowledge. That’s why his appearance on The Rest Is History is so notable!

Disney’s CEO Bob Iger is giving us a history lesson! Iger recently went on the podcast The Rest is History, which, according to Deadline, has roughly 20 million monthly downloads, making it a hugely popular. He will be in a 2 part video special about Walt Disney’s legacy!

Iger is joining hosts Tom Holland and Dominic Sandbrook on a tour around Disneyland Park, where they break down Walt Disney’s legacy as an animator and film producer, along with the massive cultural impact of the theme park. They’ve also teased that the Disney CEO will “offer up reflections on his own time at Disney ahead of his planned exit in 2026.”

The first episode is titled ‘Walt Disney: The Great American Storyteller,’ aired on November 3rd, 2025. It will be followed by a second episode on November 6th, 2025. The second episode will chart the “creation and enduring popularity of Disneyland.” On Friday, November 7th, the podcast will then release the video of the interview. They also teased a “mini-documentary in which Iger gives Sandbrook and Holland a private historical tour of the Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland Park.”

The podcast, which is in the process of being developed for TV, focuses on popular American topics like Hollywood myths, historical figures, and more. Tom Holland shared, “Whenever we investigate a subject, we always want to do more – we’re frustrated we can’t carry on.” He continued to say, “With Walt Disney, we thought it only right to come to Disney – to Disneyland itself. Walt Disney, more than any other figure, embodies twentieth-century American culture, and Disneyland is a remarkable creation – one of the most influential architectural works of the mid-20th century.

We can’t wait to listen to the first episode while we eagerly await the second episode and video interview later this week. Iger has been focused on many trials within the company as of late.
