Dining on Delta Flights Just Got 10x BETTER With This Big News

If you’re reading this and you like airplane food, props to you; we wish we could say the same! If you think that airplane food can be bland and…not great sometimes, you’re just like us. However, for us plane food haters, it sounds like a big change could be coming to Delta Air Lines.

Delta recently announced that they are introducing NEW breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. However, this is a much bigger deal than you think — especially if you’re a Disney fan!

Delta Air Lines is looking to work with a Disney World chef. Wait, what?! Delta flights will soon have meals curated by José Andrés, the owner of Jaleo in Disney Springs, and a James Beard award-winning chef.

Starting November 4th, Delta will be joining forces with Chef José Andrés to bring his famous flavors on board Delta for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The meals will be available on Delta One and Delta First on select flights. The meals will have a phased rollout planned through 2026.

Take a look at some of the entrees you can expect on these flights:

  • Spanish Tortilla with Pisto Manchego: a classic Spanish egg-and-potato omelet with a rich vegetable stew, served at breakfast.
  • Braised Beef Short Rib in a Mojo Rojo BBQ Sauce: tender and savory, with a tangy, smoky sauce and creamy polenta
  • Stuffed Piquillo Peppers: with a goat cheese and mushroom filling, drizzled with piquillo bechamel
  • Spanish Style Chicken: Chicken thigh with a rich sauce of sherry and dried fruit, served with celeriac-potato puree, roasted carrots, and pearl onions.

Chef Andrés and his team have really worked hand in hand with Delta on everything, including the portion sizes, reheating methods, and presentation. Their focus was on a good quality meal, despite being in the air. Delta will also be launching a new wine program that will be available through September 2026. It will have a “thoughtfully curated selection of wines” chosen in collaboration with world-renowned Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson.
