I Just Tried 7 Mocktails in Disney World, and I’d Never Order These 2 Again

No one is more excited that Disney World is upping its mocktail game with each passing month more than I am!

Mocktails are my fav!

I’ve gotten to try EIGHT different mocktails around Universal’s new Epic Universe park, which was SUCH a fun experiment, and over the past year, I’ve gotten to try loads of different mocktails around Disney World, too. Theme parks are really stepping up their drink game for those who don’t drink alcohol! Between the parks, Disney Springs, and the hotels, there are still so many more mocktails to explore. I’ve tried seven so far, and while I loved a lot of them, I do have to admit that there are a few I would NOT get again.

In case this is one of the first posts you’re reading from me, I’m JP, and I don’t drink alcohol. But when my friends are enjoying fun cocktails, I don’t want to feel left out, so I’ve made it a mission to try as many mocktails as I can around Disney World.

I’m on the hunt for the best mocktails!

Currently, I head to the parks about once a month, and I’ll continue to update this post with all the latest mocktails I’ve tried, so you can decide which are worth trying on your next trip!

Episode 7: Mentirosa at Frontera Cocina

The Mentirosa at Frontera Cocina in Disney Springs TOTALLY blew my mind! It’s made with Lyre’s Agave, Lyre’s Italian Orange, homemade cucumber-lime juice, agave nectar, and has a hibiscus salt rim.

Mentirosa

This was my first time ever having a drink with a salt rim, and while I did learn that I prefer sugar rims to salt rims, this was a drink that really felt complicated and unique enough to be very close to an actual cocktail! It’s more on the expensive side at $14, but personally, it was beautiful to look at and beyond delicious, so I’d absolutely treat myself to it again.

Would I get it again? Yes!

Episode 6: Strawberry & Cucumber Nojito at Raglan Road

Also VERY high on my list of favorites was the Strawberry & Cucumber Nojito at Raglan Road in Disney Springs. This is house-made strawberry puree, muddled cucumber, mint, fresh lime sour, and ginger ale, available for $11.

This is when I discovered that I definitely prefer my nojitos made with ginger ale rather than soda water. The flavors blended beautifully here, and the drink as a whole is on the sweeter side, which I prefer. While I do feel this one is a tad expensive for the size, I still would 100% get it again!

Would I get it again? Yes!

Episode 5: Lava Smoothie at Singing Spirits

While there aren’t many options for mocktails at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, I did find the Lava Smoothie at Singing Spirits Pool Bar, which is Raspberry Purée blended with flavors of Coconut and Pineapple. This is a non-alcoholic version of the Piña CoLAVA frozen drink, available for $6.29.

Lava Smoothie

I loved this one, and talk about refreshing on a hot day! I absolutely loved the combination of all the flavors, but I do recommend stirring it up so the raspberry isn’t just at the bottom. This frozen drink is also made with an ice base, instead of milk, which is how I personally prefer them, so this was a big win for me. It may not be the most exciting, but on a hot day, it’ll hit the spot.

Would I get it again? Yes!

Episode 4: Raspberry Nojito at The Outer Rim

Located inside Disney’s Contemporary Resort, you’ll find The Outer Rim, which is home to lots of different drinks. This is a relatively low-key lounge, as it’s usually not super crowded, so if you’re looking for a spot that’s a little more relaxing, this could be a great stop, as long as you don’t mind hearing the traffic from the Monorail or Chef Mickey’s nearby. When I stopped by with Sage, I decided to grab the Raspberry Nojito for $12.50.

Raspberry Nojito

Now, this actually isn’t technically on the menu, but since they told me they were out of both of their zero-proof options, they offered to make me a non-alcoholic version of their Raspberry Mojito, meaning that, to my best guess, it was made with Lime Juice, Mint, Raspberry Purée, and Soda Water. While I enjoyed the raspberry flavor throughout the drink (definitely stir it up, though!), I found out the hard way that I’m not a big fan of soda water. It felt almost too carbonated for my taste, but even if that hadn’t been the case, I didn’t find this one to be super interesting or unique.

Would I get it again? No 🙁

Episode 3: Athletic Brewing Co. Upside Dawn Golden at The Sand Bar

When I was filming a video with Sage, one of our tasks was to head to The Sand Bar at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, and I got the chance to try my first non-alcoholic beer! This was the Upside Dawn Golden from Athletic Brewing Co., and WOW did I have thoughts.

Alright, so I very quickly realized this was NOT my jam. I wasn’t a huge fan of the intense aftertaste I got in the back of my mouth, and the earthy, bitter flavor wasn’t up my alley. I’m more of a sweet drink person, so personally, this one was a miss for me.

Would I get it again? No 🙁

Episode 2: Passionfruit Smash at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs is open for brunch, lunch, and dinner, and when my friends and I decided to stop by for brunch, I grabbed the $10 Passionfruit Smash to try.

Passionfruit Smash

To this day, this is still one of my FAVORITE mocktails I’ve ever had in Disney World! It was very sweet but with a hint of tartness due to the tropical flavors, and I truly felt I was drinking a much fancier drink instead of something less exciting than a cocktail. This felt like as close to a cocktail style drink as I COULD get without actually having alcohol, and it was fantastic. I’d get it again in a heartbeat!

Would I get it again? Yes!

Episode 1: The Diving Bell at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar

The first mocktail I ever got to try in Disney World was The Diving Bell, which can be found at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs. This is an extremely simple drink, made with Simply Lemonade and Watermelon.

The Diving Bell

On a hot summer day, this one is very refreshing, but it’s not *really* anything special. It’s just flavored lemonade, so while I thought it was good, I wouldn’t really consider it a mocktail. However, if I’m here and looking for something more than water that’s refreshing, I’d certainly grab it again.

Would I get it again? Yes!

  1. Thanks for this, JP! Always happy to see mocktail content. I love that Disney’s been doing more with them lately, and I’m glad you and the AE team are spotlighting that.
