Planning a trip to Disneyland and not sure where you should eat while you’re there? Luckily, you’ve come to the right place!

Here at AllEars, we know all the ins and outs of Disney restaurants — including where you should definitely eat, and where you should skip. We recently stopped by Paradise Garden Grill at Disney California Adventure and are bringing you our FULL review to let you decide if it’s the right fit for your next vacation!
Background
Paradise Garden Grill is a quick service restaurant in DCA that focuses on serving up dishes with vibrant Mexican flavors. Find Mexican classics, as well as twists on dishes you won’t want to miss.

Here’s what you need to know about dining at this restaurant.
Atmosphere
As this is just a walk-up window, you’ll find that all the tables are located outside. It is hard to find some tables under the shade, but if you look hard enough and are willing to sit in some unconventional places, it’s possible!

Thankfully, there is plenty of seating, so finding a seat is usually only really difficult when it’s peak meal time at really popular times of the year. Just another reason why we recommend eating at off-peak times!

But enough about that, what are we eating?!
Food & Drinks
First up, we grabbed the Al Pastor Tacos for $13.99. This is Pineapple-Achiote-marinated Pork with Avocado Spread and Tomatillo Salsa, served with Spanish Rice and Refried Beans, topped with Queso Fresco.

The main flavors here were from the pork and avocado spread, which gave it a sweet and savory flavor, while the marinade added a light and somewhat sweet grilled pineapple flavor. The avocado was vibrant and fresh, and paired well with the other flavors from the pork and pineapple.

The tortillas were warm and seemed to be fresh! Now, we couldn’t really make out the salsa flavor and didn’t get any spice either. Not sure if we’d take these over the birria or other options at Cocina Cucamonga, but we do love that these come with rice and beans for right around the same price point!

For dessert, we grabbed the Mango Strawberry Chile-Lime Parfait for $6.79, which is Mango Mousse, Vanilla Cake, Mango Passion Fruit Compote, and Strawberry Chamoy Chile-Lime Gelée.

The chile flavor was pretty light, which we were glad about, because the spicy flavor combined with everything else is what we thought might ruin this for us. The main flavor here is the mango, which was fresh and sweet, and paired well with the strawberry and passion fruit flavors. The texture throughout was mostly comparable to a mousse and jello — the strawberry was more jello-like, while the mango was a mousse. It wouldn’t be our dessert of choice, but the flavors worked better together than we thought they would!

Now, to drink, we tried the Pineapple Agua Fresca for $6.99, which is described as a Fresh Pineapple Juice Beverage.

This was a light and refreshing option, perfect for a hot day! It’s just pineapple juice and water, making it sweet and fresh rather than sour or a more tart pineapple flavor. If it’s hot outside and we’re looking to cool down, we’d absolutely get this again.
Magic or Tragic?
This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if…
- You love Mexican food, and you’re looking for a quick bite
- You don’t mind eating outside
- You want to save some money
You should skip this Disney World spot if…
- You want to eat inside
- You want more variety on the menu
- You’re looking for more extravagant Mexican food options

Overall, this place doesn’t disappoint us at all, but we wouldn’t say it’s the best Mexican food you’ll find on the property by a long shot. But if you’re looking for something fast and you really enjoy this style of food, we say go for it!
In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and more!
