REVIEW: We Found a SECRET Dole Whip Drink in EPCOT!

There are LOTS of snack stands in EPCOT, so how do you choose which ones to visit?

EPCOT

If you’re heading to the park when there’s no festival happening, you may find yourself scouring the park for some year-round treats. And one of your options is The Land Cart! This might seem like a very BASIC snack spot, and well…it is! But it also happens to be where you can find a hidden (and really tasty) Dole Whip drink!

Background

The Land Cart is located in World Nature, next to The Land Pavilion. A little while back, it got a revamp to fit in with the new theming of the area, and now it’s open most of the year.

Here it is!

During EPCOT festivals, you can often find limited-time menu items here, but when it’s not festival season, they have a few staples on the menu.

Atmosphere

The Land Cart is outside, and it’s essentially just a snack stand, so there’s not much atmosphere to enjoy. There are some benches nearby if you’d like to sit, but for tables, you’ll need to walk a little further.

Utensils and napkins

You can find seating in World Celebration at the gardens or in CommuniCore Plaza. Although with only a few items on the menu right now (and all of them being handheld snacks), you probably won’t need a table.

Let’s snag some eats!

Food & Drinks

The first snack we grabbed was the Mickey-shaped Pretzel for $8.50. You can find this at a variety of spots around Disney World, and for many, it’s a staple vacation snack.

Mickey Pretzel

It comes with a cup of cheese sauce on the side, and we’ll be honest — this isn’t at the top of our list of must-try snacks. The pretzel dough itself isn’t super high quality, and the flavor leans heavily salty. The cheese sauce that comes prepackaged in a cup isn’t as good as the kind that you get pumped out of a dispenser at some quick-service restaurants.

Instead, we encourage you to head over to the Germany Pavilion and grab the Bavarian Pretzel there, or the pretzel bites from Block & Hans!

The CHEEEEESE

Next up, we have the Pickle-in-a-Pouch for $2.50. This one is a little harder to find around Disney World, but it has a cult following!

The pickle

It’s one of the cheapest snacks you can get in the parks, and if you’re craving a pickle, it hits the spot. It loses a bit of its crunch if you let it sit in the sun for too long, so make sure to eat this one right away. Otherwise, it’s nice and briny and tangy, just like what you’d expect!

On the inside

Perhaps the most unique treat here is the Tropical Smoothie for $6.25. It’s made with pineapple Dole Whip, as well as banana and mango flavors.

Tropical Smoothie

This was light, refreshing, and rather sugary! You can definitely taste the different fruits, as it starts out rather tangy and citrusy, then has a sweet banana flavor at the end. It’s a great drink for a hot day and reminds us of something we should be sipping by a pool! We were pleasantly surprised to find this one here!!

This one’s actually pretty fun!

For other beverages available at this snack stand, the online menu lists a Coca-Cola Fountain Beverage for $5.50. However, these are ACTUALLY bottled Coca-Cola drinks. They had Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Sprite.

Diet Coke

And last but not least, we’ve got a Dasani Water for $4. This is a great option to rehydrate if you’ve forgotten your refillable water bottle at home.

So, how does this snack spot stack up when it’s festival off-season?

Magic or Tragic?

This Disney World snack spot is a must-visit if…

  • You want to grab that smoothie! It’s really the standout item at The Land Cart.
  • You’re in the mood for a pickle. There are very few places to find the pickle-in-a-pouch in Disney World, and this is one of them! Add it to your short list.

You should skip this Disney World spot if…

  • You want unique or really delicious snacks. There are SO many places to find cool snacks around EPCOT, especially in the World Showcase.
  • You want a full meal. There aren’t any entrée options on the menu.

Ultimately, this is a fine, quick snack spot, but it’s not a must-visit if you’re outside of festival season. It really is just a spot you hit if you’re in a pinch or if you wanna try a fruity Dole Whip drink!
